Well said Ros. If I think P.Crouch is the best thing since sliced bread what gives you the right to tell me to get lost. You dont have that right on here. Be more respectful to any other poster in the future.
Incidently i dont think Peter Crouch is the best thing since sliced bread lol.
It wasn't Crouch himself that was the problem IMO. He actually had a few decent chances, the problem was that we resorted to crude long balls and tried to pick him out instead of keeping our approach play varied. Defoe and Pavlyuchenko both had to feed off scraps while the wingers, Bale included, resorted to hoofing the ball to Crouch's head. It was predictable and Portsmouth latched onto it. Players like Bale and Modric shouldn't have to resort to that kind of play. I think Harry made a mistake picking Crouch over Pav, Portsmouth knew exactly how to deal with him.
He should had have a goal ,but that Cnut ref disallowed it

Peter Crouch must be the most frustrating player at Tottenham. Okay he was unlucky to have his goal chalked off because its should of stood however he cant head the ball for sh!t.
Now that I think of it, Niko Kranjcar is also frustrating

Mate you want an argument? You'll ****in' get one from me.
Crouch was the ONLY forward who looked dangerous tonight. He worked hard, played great in the air, and was only kept off the scoresheet by a combination of David James and Alan Wiley. James was absolutely fantastic and Wiley made a poor decision to disallow the goal. The only thing I will grant is that Crouch should have finished that one off the Corner which he sent wide. Aside from that he did just about all one could ask: Fire headers on target in dangerous places. James had to make some spectacular saves to keep Crouch out, and he did that. Placing blame on Crouch is not only wrong, its the easy way out. You want to blame him because he had all the chances? Why don't you blame Pav and Defoe for going out there and laying an egg? If Crouch wasn't in the match today we would have had only 2 or 3 legit goal chances. He created as well as fired and played a great game, our best player on the pitch I thought.

Andy wouldn't be saying a WORD of what he just did if Crouch's goal had been allowed. In fact, I think it was one of Crouch's better games. Played along the ground and kept the ball quite well. So I don't think this game was the right one to call for Crouch's legs on a plate.
It was down to an OVERALL lack of finishing quality and a few terrible decisions by the ref (one being the booking of Huddlestone due to him SLIPPING ON THE FOOKING CRAP PITCH!!). And to think I had faith in Alan Wiley to do a better job than Howard Webb...

The bolded parts are what I believe is truth however, most of the time he just a generally frustrating player, he doesn't do enough in the air for my liking when you consider his height. hes 6 foot 7 ffs and theres no defender within 2 inches of his height yet he wont jump and win the ball. He got marked out the game by Vermaelen last time we played Arsenal and I believe hes under 6 foot! Hes just frustrating mate trust me. To his credit though, Crouch was our best Forward today however I still wouldnt give him too much credit (he would however been my Spurs man of the match)
I never said Crouch was sh!t, just merely stating he can be frustrating at times, which most people will probably agree with me on.

You kidding me? Can't be arsed to read the replies as im slightly pissed, but how can you blame Crouch for Bagpuss playing a shit system / tactics against the worst side in the PL?
Crouch was one of our better players, which is a shame, cos we were embarassing.
Crouch was arguable our best player, as for tactics the pitch was absolutely shit a total embarrassment to English football. It had made Chelski and Villa look poor 24 hours before and was even worse by the time we got on it.
Crouchy had a perfectly good goal disallowed andyroo you may be pissed off but to blame Crouch?
