anyone watching the semi final? when they do a close up the pitch looks like it should have horses running over it and jumping over things called beachers brooke.
ITs going to kill anyone in our team with half a strain....
I have dread
its no surprize so many players pick up injuries on england duty,that pitch looks so hard and then they add to much water,so it ends up like bleeding dancing on ice ffs
Yeah was saying how crap it looked in the match thread, although Villa aint exactly making it look any better they have been shite!
Loads of the players have slipped, abot 5 now i think. Thay said it was a brand new pitch.
If it's true that Pompey are gonna rush players back from injury then this may hurt them more than us.....either way we will have to fight tooth and nail for every ball if we are to meet the chavs at wembley!

I just dont want to see our top boys limping off ahead of a bigger game IMO on Wednesday night, i think a win over the scum would make me more happy even though im off to both.

With all the injury problems we've had, we don't need Wembley's crappy pitch giving us more before some of the most important games we've had in years. Let's hope for the best, they need to sort that pitch out though, it's awful.

harry has a big decision to make concerning team selection IMO.... Does he go full strength tommorrow and risk players for wed night or does he rest some players and hope to beat Pompey with a little left in the tank....with the injuries we have it's gonna be tricky for him!Originally Posted by yidno1

I say, a mix of both. Make a few risks tomorrow, make a few on Wednesday - you never know what will happen tomorrow. If we're clearly going to win then sub the returning/important players so they're fresher for Arsenal.
Either way both Pompey and Arsenal are just as injury savaged as we are. We've just got to be slightly cautious with our injured stars as unlike Pompey and Arsenal, we've still got something to play for in the league.

I only caught the tail end of the Villa Chelsea match, but every fookin report said that the pitch was shite. You'd think this wouldn't be the case...it really is pathetic to me how bad of shape the pitches in England have been in this year. And for Wembley to fall into such a category is unacceptable.

Chris Waddle said the players warmed up on it ,chose their studs and went into the dressing room, unbeknown to them the pitch was then watered which left the players slipping all over the place.
The FA are embarrasing to allow their multi million pound stadium end up with a pitch like this, its a disgrace.
