I was looking at the bbc gossip page today, as seen this. Just wondered what everyone would think of having a Sporting Director again? I think it would be a good thing if he was to come to us, if he is the boy that has discovered the likes of Messi, Bojan, Pedro, Xavi, Puyol and Iniesta, then it might be in idea to get him in.

I'm not really sure...while he would be a big name to bring in I'd rather we left all the transfer decisions to 'Arry. When we had Comolli here 'Arry didn't want to come in and I wouldn't want him to leave if we bring in another Sporting Director/Director of Football.
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
The whole Sporting Director thing didn't work - that's why Comolli was sacked alongside Ramos. I think Levy's learnt his lesson.
Harry wouldnt take it, he would leave if we got a sporting director.

Aye that's what i thought, but if he is the guy that has found all these great players, then it might be worth another shot.(It might not have been him). Saying that i love Harry and most of his signings have been brilliant. Especially Palacios, at 12 million pound he has been a bargain. Plus we could easily got 20 million plus, if Real Madrid do come calling for him.
I'd think Levy would be really hesitant to go in that direction again, and theres just no way Harry would have it.
Plus if we got him, I'd have to be able to spell his name in posts.
I'm against the idea at the present, no way would 'Arry go for it and for the time being neither would Levy.
Leave a manager to it i say
The system didn't work before because Camolli was awful and no good at his job. I wouldn't mind if he came in and worked alongside the manager, not take complete control, he's obviously very good at his job and a large part of the reason Barca are as good as they are. I would prefer it if he came in and the major part of his job brief was to manage a new youth system, looking at bringing talent from around Britain (and the world) and either helping to bring them through the ranks or move them on. The article is very non-specific about a proposed new role.
I think if he was brought in with 'Arry's agreement this would work very well, the problem before was Comolli was not 'Arry's man. He hasn't done to bad at Barca has he?

We've already got 'arry who bought Muntari, Diarra, Johnson and doubled or tripled their value in a year. He knows the market in and out, I don't think we need another guy giving conflicting information. Harry has a vision of what he wants to see in our team.
I'm pretty sure he wasn't even at the club when they were brought in (I think he joined with Laporta, but can't remember).
'Arry would be out the door in a flash if we brought back the Sporting Director role. It's good if the SD and Manager/Coach get on, but as proved by us in the past that doesn't always happen. It's not an English way of running a club, and we should leave Spurs as it is.
