Hey all....
i was asked last night by my house mate as to weather we as spurs fans would prefer to win the europa league..... or get knocked out in the group stages of the champions league?????
im not overly sure... i mean best of both worlds would be knocked out 3rd in the CL and going on to win the europa league.... but he point blankly refused that answer saying " well you came last in the group "
So i put the same answer to you guys....
UCL every season

I want it all, so I'd go for winning the UCL.
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs and blaming it on you ... you probably haven't a clue what's going on!
UCL for me it is just way more prestigious than the Europa League. You get to play better teams and attract better players.

UCL every time, its a different standard of football. Also would mean we deprive the dippers of UCL football xD

Look at this bunch of accountants. Football is played for GLORY and the only way you get glory is by being a winner.
And there are only two European Cups so I want at least one.
Glory, glory Tottenham Hotspur, Europa League Champions!
Each and every time.

Gonna be in the minority here, just like with the F.A. Cup over 4th.
Europa League. CL Qualifier doesn't add anything to your honours list. However, winning the CL is something more special, seeing as no London club has done it yet...

I'm with gramps, sports is for glory not money. Do you want to be like the scum of woolwich saying you keep finishing 4th in the group for UCL or keep saying that we are winning a European Trophy? I have a feeling that once we get into the UCL a lot of people are going to be willing to throw away glory just for the "pay-day" that UCL gives. Give me a cup any time because that is pride and bragging rights.![]()

theres no guarantee that we would win the europa just because we are aiming higher (and are close to acheiving it). on that basis I would take champs league group stage any day. just because we would be expected to win the europa league doesnt mean we would, and then we would have less money, less prestige and no trophy to show for it.
TOTTENHAM 'TIL I DIE!
UCL, better players, a lot more gate and tv money, plus the glory of coming out to that spine tingling anthem at the start of every game, WHL being graced by some of the world's best players, seeing the champions league logo everywhere around the ground, nothing would beat it so, sorry, but the UCL every time

you guys are moving goal post with your answer here. the only option is constant 4th place in the group stages of UCL or winning Europa League. its one of the other. i know on a 1 year basis i would love for Spurs to get into UCL. however after that one year if at the beginning of the season you were given the option that Spurs could only finish 4th in Champs League group stage or WIN the Europa league how could you not go with a trophy for everything season after that one season in Champs?
In 10 years no one is going to remember being 4th place in a group for Champs league. just as no one remembers who finished 3rd 10 years ago in the EPL. however i'm sure most of you know who won the FA cup 10 years ago eh? Trophy over showing up everyday of the week and twice on sunday!
