the wait for any news on the new stadium is killing me, i want to know if we will be building one or are we going to be turned down
i want to know when will haringay council be sitting down to approve\disapprove our plans

The timing for the submission was poor...there's a local election in six weeks time and decisions would probably made by the councillors who are elected then...
Let me tell you Haringey Council are the biggest bunch of useless coonts there are, i have family who live in tottenham long since i left and the trouble they have with them is unbelieveable. Because they are private tennants in a council owned estate just east of the east stand they are overcharged and scammed by their own ****ing council. For example 14 years ago all the private tenants were made to pay for a new roof that they said would last 25 years and the council tennants payed nothing, last year they got a bill for 45k saying a new roof was needed for their block, they added up the bills with the other 5 private tennants and it came to 225k for a new roof -.- been stuck in legal action with them since.
Thieving scammers the lot of them, council tennants pay **** all and judging by the bills niether do the council, they just make profit
Sorry if this is a personal rant but they are the scum of the earth, wouldnt be suprised if they declined our application tbh.

You can't drink all day unless you start in the morning
I don't see how they could afford to say no, what with the money and prestige they'd loose through it.
"You score goals as a kid. Then you grow up stupid and become a goalkeeper."
It takes 6months before the council look at the plans. Then Tottenham Hotspur FC have to present it to them a few weeks later and members of the public gives reasons AGAINST the stadium, whilst Tottenham give reasons FOR the stadium. The council then vote. If we get a majority vote, it goes to some guy who then has 21 days to reject the proposal.
It's a very, very long winded system, and I'm pretty sure I don't even have it spot on. I just followed the Bristol City stadium as it went through planning as I was interested to see how long ours will take. We got to hope that it doesn't get given a "provisonal yes" which it is likley to, which means that you have to meet again yet a few months further down to line to ensure that the club have looked into the problems the council had against the plans in the first place. Things like looking at transport, green areas etc etc.
Super Harry Redknapp,
He wears a magic hat,
He couldn't fly to Anfield
So turned into a cat!
well they are gonna have to look into the transport problem, it is hard enough getting to WHL if you are not going from liverpool street so they are gonna have to speak to london transport to see if they can build another station etc, which will cost the club at least another 20M

another station how come ?
and i agree im kind of frustrated not hearing any news on it lately. Sounds like a very long process. The elections for the council should work in our favour as alot promises to improve haringay will be thrown around and as long as the people stepping in aint scum fans we should hopefully get approved![]()
it's a huge project that the borough need desperately, many 'i's to dot and 't's to cross, there are objections from English Heritage and there are concerns from the group who monitor architecture that the individual elements are not sufficiently well integrated. Nothing will happen quickly but it will happen, I expect some sort of progress to be announced in the summer.
Read a report on the official club forum, it seems the main objection is coming from TFL, they say there is not enough capacity on the underground and at Northumberland road & White Hart Lane stations. They are angling for a donation to improve the infrastructure.

well WHL has a reputation for being one of the most difficult grounds to get to in the EPL, if you are not going through liverpool street via the overground it is usually quite hard to get to because you have to swap lines on the tube etc
so if they could build a new station a stones throw from the new stadium it would be beneficial both for fans and the police and it would be another good point to have about the stadium when it is constructed

As a Town, i don't think tottenham can afford for the club not to build the stadium.
If we moved out, what else has N17 got? It would die.The council are surely aware of this(David Lammy, the MP is as was his predeceser Bernie Grant were). If the club moved awy,the area would loose so much Money(just have a chat to the Guv'nor of what ever match day watering hole you use)
No offence to anyone living in Tottenham( i have family conections there) but the place ,football aside has very little going for it. The new Stadium would bring so much to to the place.
Turnpike lane, wood green, seven sisters, bruce grove, white hart lane, Northumberland park and tottenham hale are all stations you can get to white hart lane from which are all very close to the stadium. You have to change lines depending on where you come from to every ground in london. Would we really need to splash more cash for a new station ? i'd rather get in a top player with that 20 million or spend it on developing our youth system even more.![]()
