Is it me or is Kevin Doyle the new Robbie Keane?
The lad would be an asset to any team IMO his sheer workrate is absolutely phenomenal.
I dont know much about the lads natural finishing ability to be perfectly honest but if its any good or likely to improve then he could be worth chucking a few Million at when Wolves get relegated.
He would be a great foil for someone like Pava who has the workrate of a Civil Servent or even as an alternative to JD as the other little man.
Could even be utilised as a lone front man if his hold up play is any good as those legs just dont stop.
always said it mate, and got fooking laughed at on here.his workrate is unbelievable.he gets taken off nearily every ireland match no matter hows hes played.
No thanks, Kevin Doyle if we get in the champs league?
We'd have people pissing themselves laughing at us, good player not good enough for us though.
Mate if you look at him with the ball at his feet he is almost Keane'esq.
I dont know if his pace is as good but that wasnt Robbies asset either, it was his workrate and his finishing ability.
I remember he was linked with us before he signed for Wolves and I think it was slimboydim who said he would be worth a shout.
I'm watching motd and he had a excellent game today. I with you on him being worth a go if Wolves go down, he would be a good player to step in and work hard but I don't think he will ever be a starter.
I think Slim picked him out while he was still in the chumpionshit didnt he.
I think I said the same as steve to be honest, but alas I too was nieve and stupid![]()
think keane is the far superior player to doyle , with his finishing abilities.
Also keane proved his abilities also for ireland on an international level which doyle yet has to do.
Not sure where we could play him when we have Defoe, Pav, Crouch , Gud, and probably will be looking for more strikers if we really manage CL football but dont wanna take anything away from doyle his work rate might be really good.
Also he is 26 years old so not a player for the future. Next season he would be 27 then we would need him to be part of the team immediately and he cant be given a lot of time compared to young players like modric who joined us.
But we really should be lookin elsewhere. Dont think a decent player like doyle is the right choice for us even tho he might be a good player.

the bandwagon is leaving ,anyone else want to jump on ha ha
I thought he was about 21/22............at 26 that hrows a different slant on it.
Stnd by the fact that his workrate in a good side wold make him far more dangerous.
id rather go for that darren bent fella, he looks pretty decent!
Oh - you want me to watch my mouth, how?
Take my ****in eyeballs out, and turn em around?

Always liked him, I was watching him today and thought he would be a good back up if we make it into the CL because if we were in the CL and had a run in cups and the league as well, we would need a bigger squad.
I think Doyle needs just a bit more time to blossom and he'll become greater.
Signing him for Spurs? A little too early for me.
And then when he does become this new Robbie Keane - just like I ask about every non-spurs player we dream of signing - what makes you think his team will sell him or he would want to leave if they got relegated?
Reporter: "What is it like to score against the best team in the world [Barcelona]?".
Jake Livermore: "Score against the best team in the world??? I play for them [TOTTENHAM]."
didnt anyone had a bet running that defoe will score more goals than bent this season?
Also he said it would of been a save bet!
I thought bent is gonna net the goals for sunderland every now and then for them but that he would have 20 goals with 8 to games to go in a team that is struggeling for relegation suprises me as well tho.
Afterall he was our best striker last season.
He was just unlucky we had ramos that season.
And missed some sitters then only choice was for him to go after we signed defoe and crouch I guess....
