Pav Exclusive!
19 March 2010
Roman Pavlyuchenko gives the first interview of his topsy-turvy season exclusively to Spurs TV Online ahead of this weekend's trip to Stoke.
The Russian striker's fortunes have undergone a dramatic transformation over the last six games, in which he has scored an incredible eight goals.
Before coming off the bench to score twice in our 3-0 win at Wigan at the end of last month, ‘Super Pav' had found the net just twice all season and had not even started a Premier League game.
It sums up the unpredictable nature of football, but judging by this insightful interview, it is something the 28-year-old appears to be taking in his stride.
Roman says: "It all comes down to work and it is only through work that you can achieve. When your spirits are down you should always look upwards and ahead.
"Then I got my chance and I wanted to capitalise on it as much as I could. I think that it is a normal situation that probably every player has found themselves in at least once in their career.
"Football is such a game that sometimes you are down and have to raise yourself and look forward. The main thing is not to give up and to look ahead, that is how it works out."
And for any fans who have sung ‘Super Pav's name from the terraces so consistently over the past 18 months, this is an interview not to be missed.
He goes on to describe the White Hart Lane fans as the best he has ever come across during his career to date
You've probably all seen this! Its just gave me a big smile while reading the bit at the bottom about our fans. Its amazin a player can have such aturn around in such a short space of time.
Lets hope this bloke can go on and fire us to CL football.......Well in pav!
Super super pav.....

We need the guy to keep up his form now that Defoe is out. He really could play the leading role in getting us to the promised land that is the Champions League and enjoy two great days at Wembley.
Super Harry Redknapp,
He wears a magic hat,
He couldn't fly to Anfield
So turned into a cat!
if pav is the legend that so many make him out to be then now is his time to prove it!
good luck pav u will need it!

From what i can remember he scored fook all goals in the league. Ok in the cup his record wasn't to bad but league games his goals scoring record was shocking.
IMO this is where i judge him not against 2nd and 3rd division teams in cup games.
Like i said before ok Arry has done a u-turn but im sure arry knows a little more than me and you. Not to mention he see's him in training everyday.
Pav's a lazy fook and doesn't play away!!! Until he starts putting the same performances away from home as he does at home he still has everything to prove to me imo!
I just hope he carry his form on

have to admit im a little worried, pav with no pressure on him for his place might not be the best thing
I hope he does turn out to be the best striker we've ever had, i really mean that!
But alot of fans love the bloke when his not done know where near enough imo.
