Not sure what the board expect really, got them promoted & kept them up.

Sky Sports | Football | Premier League | News | Brown on the brink at Hull
Not really much news on it so far, wonder when the full story will come out.
Hull really are a pretty bad team. That said, I was impressed he was able to keep them up last season. They may even survive again this year, who knows. Decent manager in a tough spot....time to pass the earpiece on, Phil.

Read that on the dailymail ..............i know i know dialymail , i didnt get this bit at all :
3 points from safety ? Have i been sleep and only the bottom club gets relegated now days lol .Hull are currently 19th in the Premier League and three points from safety with nine games remaining.
Cant see them getting anyone better as you've said.
i cant understand why they woould sack him with the season almost done. he's been great for them and i dont see them gettting anyone on a par with him let alone better
Yeah he's done an ok job at Hull at it's a massive acheivement that he's kept Hull in the Prem.
Not a lover of Phil Brown but fair play to him.
Isn't he on gardening leave? poor lad i liked Brown!
COYS!
can't see the sense in this. how is the new manager going to have any time to change things or sort them out? at least keep pb until the end of the season then get rid surely?
TOTTENHAM 'TIL I DIE!
they sacked him now ..wht kind of silly move is this ??
"You score goals as a kid. Then you grow up stupid and become a goalkeeper."
Hasn't he only been there a few years? And in those years hes brought them up, and kept them up. If I'm a Hull fan, I'm pretty happy with that.

2006 he joined, got longer than other managers in his predicament

Just been reading through all the comments on SSN. Pretty much the only people with bad things to say about Brown are the Scum fans. I wasn't a massive fan of Browns, many of his team selections were questionable and spending 5m (and 40k a week) on a player with no knees is foolish, however you've gotta love the man for getting so far up the Scums nose!
As the only manager to get Hull City into the Top Flight of English football in their entire history, I'm quite astounded that the board have seen fit to sack Brown with just 10 games left of the current season and with no chance of whoever is now appointed to make any changes in the transfer market.
There's obviously far more to this than meets the eye.
