hes seting his sights high,as any top player does.id love to win the fa cup but for pure revenue and status top 4 is best,i know some people willargue were not ready,but with the draw it brings,we can go for a higher calibre of player in the summer.

why, well we all know the details but i want to ask a question,

when will we have a better chance to finish fourth than this season?

i dont think we will ever have a better chance because:

a. city with their arab money are gonna get better rapidly
b. everton will be stronger next season with players back fit
c. liverpool cant be half as bad as they have been next season
d. villa are ever improving
e. no CL means the loss of the likes of modric, palacios and lennon

Teams from the Premier League historically do well in the Champs league and seeing how we mostly give the "top 4" tough games..we cant be that far off.

Plus the money we would get from the Champs league would allow us to spend this summer..

I can just imagine the champions league theme tune playing at the lane before kick off after the players shake hands, it would be a brilliant moment. It has to be champions league. If Luka can perform like he has lately then we have a chance.

I really want the Spurs to get to Champions League for many reasons (one reason is to stick it to my friend who is a Chelsea fan). I just get excited with the idea of seeing the commercials for CL and hearing the CL anthem and Tottenham Hotspur at the same time. Kind of give me chills (is that normal?)........

This is a bit worrying coming from Modric. This means he wants (of course he does) CL football and if we cant give it to him, hes probably going somewhere else. As I see it Spurs is a stepping stone for players like Modric and Berbatov. Sure, they love the club but if we dont make progress they will leave.

Spurs played Real Madrid at WHL in the UEFA Cup back in March 1985 and lost 0-1 through an own goal.

We've also played Barcelona at the Lane in the European Cup Winners' Cup in April 1982 and drew 1-1, Graham Roberts scoring for Spurs.
