Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch have started 15 matches for Tottenham Hotspur so far this season.

Those 15 games have produced 23 goals for Spurs (15 for Defoe, 8 for Crouch) and they have failed to score in just three of those matches.

Spurs have won seven, drawn six and lost two of the matches in which Defoe & Crouch have started this season.

about 1.5 goals a game then. But Defoe got 5 in 1. Not sure how that compares with others in the epl but its not bad, but the problem is when we've needed a goal in tight games they haven't produced and that needs sorting.

I think you have to look to our midfielders for not pulling their weight when it comes to goals contributed.

Players like Modric, Jenas, Palacios and Huddlestone should really be hitting the target much more regularly than they have been up until now...
