Harry to give Pav every chance

Harry to give Pav every chance
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has denied that he is deliberately freezing Roman Pavlyuchenko out of his starting line-up.
The Russia international has spoken regularly this season of his unhappiness with his lack of first-team opportunities, saying earlier this week that he thought the Spurs boss was "making fun" of him.
Pavlyuchenko has been linked with a host of Russian clubs since last summer, with Lokomotiv Moscow the latest to show an interest in securing his services.
However, Redknapp has said he retains a great faith in the forward, saying: "If Pavlyuchenko scored eight or ten goals between now and the end of the season, no one would be more pleased than me.
"If players leave a club, they often blame the manager. Have I spoken to Pavlyuchenko about his comments? It's difficult, because he doesn't speak much English.
"If he wants to say things, that's up to him. His job is to come in, work hard and show that he wants to play for the club. How can I refuse to sell him?
"The chairman (Daniel Levy) would ask my opinion but we're not in a situation where we want to sell him.
"He scored a terrific goal in the FA Cup against Leeds and he'd have started the next game, but he picked up an injury. He's fit again. We have three games this week and there's every chance that he'll start at least one of them."

i hope he does give him a chance otherwise he is simply detroying the lads carrer, these things might lead to players rejecting a move to spurs in the future.Harry should think about this if he does'nt think he is good enough he should sell him and make way for a new striker.
Whoever invented football should be worshipped as a God.
yeah right harry.you have treated him like a complete plum, and now you know you might have to start him because we have 3 games in a week your saying you dont have a problem with him.people can come out and say shut your mouth pav,but this is stretching back over a number of months and its obivius its a nightmare for the player.he probily wouldnt have even bought him on against leeds until the whole ground sang his name.anything pav has said in recent months is justified imo.let the stick fly in from the "he doesnt do it training crowd",well i counter the strikers aint doing it on the pitch.
I heard "blah blah blah blah IM FULL OF SH!% blah blah blah", as always Arry wants to come out as the good guy TO BAD Arry and he might give Pav a chance with ten minutes left in the match.
yeah, it is very convenient to say that Pav would have started the next game after leeds had it not been for his injury. however why didn't he get some time against Bolton? i surely thought that he could have gotten about 15 or 20 minutes against bolton there at the end. so we'll see if harry is telling the truth. i have faith in him however i am not liking the way he seems to be treating Pav on this here. time will tell though.
Yep this is great news. May be he's read the following threads lol...

Do We Still Have Faith In Redknapp?
I hope it's not some ridiculous news story (like others have said) to move away the blame from himself (Harry) ... He needs 90mins etc.. not 5 mins at the end when it's convenient for you..
I don't like the following lines from Harrys quote though lol ..Pav better seize this opportunity and better make Harry swallow his tongue and break into a sweat lol..."He's fit again after a groin injury," Redknapp said. "We have three games this week and there is every chance he'll start one of those games at least, he's back in the frame."

You all might very well have to eat your words!!! I think we will see Pav start against either Bolton or Wigan...then again maybe i'll be the one eating my words...
COMMON HARRY!
<------ Arsene Wenger
"There's every chance that he may start" also means there's a chance he won't start any of them. His time at Spurs is over. Rightly or wrongly he needs to move on to restart his career.
Pav deserves a chance, but I won't believe it until I see it.
Whats funny is that if he actually gives Pav a start and he turns it on by putting a couple of goals away or something, your all still gonna be giving Harry pelters for not playing him sooner.

i think he'll give him a chance but lets all wish the him n defoe play well 2gather if they doo ..were gonna say good bye to the long ball to crouch ! :P
I think with the improvements that Defoe's made to his ability to hold the ball up, they could work really well together.
I'd actually have no problem with Crouch if he was scoring goals. You can't really depend just on one of your strikers to score goals though, or you might as well play Defoe on his own.
