This list could go on for ever and ever
Dozzell
Rohan Rickets
Raziak
Just for starters
Jenas..I think a lot of people would agree... lol
ramon vega
Ramon Vega,
How could I forget, but as a person he was quite a character, and i'm sure when he moved to Celtic he actually scored a hat-trick if im not mistaken.
Gary Doherty was a nightmare to watch in defence
Jose Dominguez - saw he came on as a sub - never seen again
How can you NOT include Jason Dozzell? I saw him play in a Chelsea -v- Tottenham match many (many) years ago...he hardly touched the ball.
rebrov was an expensive flop
mitchell thomas
For the last twenty years? He wouldn't even make it into my top fifty! The list could be endless, especially through the mid to late-90s and early-00s.
Worst of the bunch, by a long, long, long way.....
Kevin Scott
Others that would be right in there:
Dozzell - as already noted
Ruel Fox - should've got Trading Standards onto Newcastle for selling us a winger that patently wasn't
Bobby Mimms - reckon he was still just about playing for us in 1990
Helder Postiga - can't ever forgive him for missing two sitters at Highbury, and then scoring against England
Paolo Tramezzani
Stuart Netherclott
David Kerslake
Mbulelo Mabizela - save for one screamer that earned us a point at Leicester
Chris Perry - was so crap I was surprised when he was read out in the squad one day as I thought he'd left, then I remembered we paid nigh on £5m for him!
Goran Bunjevcevic
Darren Bent - all wrong for Spurs and at £16m too!
KPB - probably be back if Pompey are allowed to sell players.....
Wayne Routledge - OK, bit contentious as he never really got a go
Gary Doherty
GDS - pointless purchase and I do now look back and think that if he'd really been that good, Barcelona would never have let him go
Terry Fenwick
Gilberto - fish out of water
Willem Korsten
Gregorz Rasiak
Ricardo Rocha - nightmare debut like Thorstvedt, except Rocha never got any better!
Kazuyuki Toda - what did he ever do?
Bobby Zamora - big mistake buying him at the time we did
Plus the countless others who turned out once or twice that I never (thankfully) had the misfortune to watch play!
Gilberto, hands down
Anthony Gardner
Gary Doherty
Gilberto!
There is too many to list, but personally I think the worst was Tarrico, that guy always seemed a liability!
-prepares to get slaughtered-![]()

~*~ Ooh Aah Van Der Vaart, Say Ooh Ah Van Der Vaart ~*~
Timothee Atouba - Though he did score a beauty (lucky) when we won 1-0 at Newcastle.
