Craig Bellamy and Roberto Mancini in ‘furious row’
Cynics might say that the only surprise is that it has taken this long, but it was reported last night that Craig Bellamy, had been involved in a furious row with Roberto Mancini. The Manchester City manager was said to have screamed at his fiery striker, telling him to stay away from the club for three months.
According to reports, the pair exchanged heated words at the club’s training ground at Carrington on Wednesday after Bellamy refused a request to do extra training with one of Mancini’s Italian staff the next day.
Mancini was incensed by the player’s reaction, and the questioning of his judgment, and reports of the incident have the Italian bellowing: “I want you to leave now — and don’t come back for three months.”
The £14 million Wales forward, who joined City in January last year, argued that only he and the sports science staff knew the correct way to treat his injured right knee.
Bellamy is said to have stormed off and was contacted at home by Garry Cook, the City chief executive, and Brian Marwood, the club’s football administrator. They advised him to return and apologise to Mancini, but Bellamy is said to have stood firm.

As much as i hate Bellamy as a person, I think he's a decent footballer and always seems to run his socks off and scores goals, and seems to play well against us.
Would I have him in my team - no chance.
But seems Arry has tried to get him on a couple of occasions, so watch this space.
Do you think Arry could manage him and sort his attitude out
i hope he doesnt come hx. he's too much trouble. i agree his football talent is very good but his off field antics leave a lot to be desired. but like u say harry seems to like him...
Paves the way for him to come to the lane... his workrate is up there with Tevez's ... will track back and run around all day... can score a lot of goals... with his pace and lennons we'd leave the opposition for dust...![]()

Don't be surprised to see Arry try for a loan deal with a view to make it permanent, Arry rates him highly as we all know.

Personally I'd love to see Bellamy at the Lane, he's like a work horse, he never stops trying, he has awesome pace and is a quality goal scorer. His attitude isn't great, but what about some of the guys we have at the Lane? They thought too much of themselves, but now look at the change in them... Completely different people.
Lennon and Bellamy would make an awesome pair I think. Let's just wait and see? Harry always tends to go back on his word. Look at all these guys he was "interested" in at the transfer window, then he signs the people he hasn't even mentioned.

Harry tried before to sign Bellamy when he was with Wet Spam

I think the stumbling block would be the fee, Bellamy"s 30 now and has a dodgy knee so if citeh want what they paid for him then thats a risk.
But he"s a helluva player and would sort out a few of the shrinking violets in the dressing room.

And he tried to sign him for Spurs... but agreed to drop interest and went for Palacios, with City in turn dropping interest in Palacios.
I'd consider a move for Bellamy, if 'Arry is confident he can get the best out of him and keep him under control, he'd be a valuable asset. If not, avoid
For the right price might be worth it but then again he would be one of Arry's favorites and if he did good we would again rely to much on a player.
I refer you to my previous post in the joe cole/craig bellamy thread. in the words of peter kay "what a knobhead"
I think this was on the cards the moment they sacked Sparky , It will take someone he respects like Harry to keep him focused .
