All to play for
18 February 2010
Michael Dawson believes the race for a place in next season's Champions League will go to the wire as we prepare to make our return to Premier League action at Wigan this Sunday.
Manchester City currently hold the initiative by just a point from fifth-placed Liverpool after their draw at Stoke on Tuesday.
We sit two points behind City on 43 in sixth place with Aston Villa a further point behind us - and with 12 games still to play, ‘Daws' knows we have everything to play for.
And although the defender acknowledges points have been dropped in recent defeats against Wolves and Liverpool, as well as draws in games we dominated against Villa, Birmingham, and Hull, he insists we must look forward.
In an exclusive interview with Spurs TV Online, our vice-captain said: "There's a long way to go. That fourth spot is still anyone's for the taking, as it will be until the last day of the season I believe.
"We've just got to keep believing - that's all we can do. There's been a few games we could have got more out of, but that's football and other teams will be saying the same thing.
"We're in there with a chance so we've got to believe in ourselves and stay positive in our quality hopefully coming through and showing.
"When it comes to training, we just have to focus on the next game and we're looking forward to Wigan now and hopefully putting previous games behind us."

Come On You SPURS
As much as I love Daws, with all his passion, grit and determination that he has given to my club (wish some of the other would follow his attitude).
He really needs to be realistic about the situation and theres very very slim chance of us getting that 4th spot, i suppose stranger things have happened though.
Hope we dont get a dodgy chef in Burnley before the last game of the season.
Good old Daws! Top bloke! You can't blame him for thinking positively, even if some of us think it's unrealistic. I wish the rest of the team had his attitude.
We've still as good a chance as any of the others in the pack. The other 3 in the hunt have looked just as ropey as us at times. There is the best part of the third of the season left - thats a long way to go. Well said Daws. There is no way I'm writing off our chances just yet.
