Gareth Bale felt we showed what we're made of in the second half to turn around Sunday's FA Cup tie at Bolton.
The home side took a grip on the fifth-round tie at the Reebok with an impressive first-half performance and led 1-0 at the interval via Kevin Davies. First team coach Joe Jordan summed up that half by admitting it could have been more that 1-0.
It was all change after the break though. We hit the crossbar twice, Jermain Defoe equalised and Jussi Jaaskelainen saved Tom Huddlestone's penalty and turned aside efforts from Jermain and Niko Kranjcar.
It ended 1-1 and we'll replay at the Lane on Wednesday, February 24. The winners travel to Fulham in the quarter-finals on March 6/7.

"It was disappointing in the first half but we came out fighting in the second half, showed what we're made of and I think we were unlucky not to win the game in the end," said Gareth.
"We knew it was going to be difficult at Bolton and we just needed to compete a bit more. We did that. The lads responded well. We showed what we're capable of and as I said, we were unlucky not to get the win."
Gareth certainly caught the eye again at left-back, set-up JD's goal and says he's reaping the benefit of a run of games - Sunday was his tenth-successive start after returning to the side in place of injured Benoit Assou-Ekotto.
"I just want to concentrate on every game, I'm learning on the training pitch and I want to take that into games, keep focusing and trying to do my best for the team," he added.
"Confidence grows when you get a run of games and I'm getting that now, I'm more confident and hopefully that shows on the pitch."

i always knocked bale, didnt rate him at all but hes turning in some good performances at the mo. i would like to see him defend a bit better but over all hes taken his chance well

Bale has been the one player that has consistantly shown that he's trying. The others show flashes of their old self and then switch off.....The exception to this being Jenas, who is switched off all the time!!!

I've said it before, Benni is going to have a fight on his hands to dislodge Bale. Bale is showing the potential to be the best left back in the EPL.
The guy has some much energy and brilliant turn of speed, combined with his on the ball skills he could become awesome
