Lets Play Him In A Couple Of Games & See (If he ever gets a chance)
The back pages are covered with yet another story of Pavlyuchenko wanting to leave. But as he says.... why doesn't Harry want to let him go if he never plays him?
It's sad to see Harry not showing any professional sportsmanship. He should have let Keane stay instead if he needed a backup in case Crouchie or Defoe got injured...Not someone who has wanted to leave since the summer.
Harry has made many false promises to Pavlyuchenko. This is bang out of order. I'd be pi$$ed off too if I was Pavlyuchenko....
The board are happy for him to go (they accepted an offer from Lokomotiv Moscow) but Harry has blocked his departure.
One of the reasons mentioned was that Harry does not want to weaken a squad that's pushing for 'The Top Four' ... Well the Top 4 claim is a story for a different day...and how much weaker would the squad be without a player that never stats anyway.
But back to Pav... Harry needs to start playing him ASAP (I know he has been hampered by injuries) but he is fit now...so instead of long ball Crouch play Pav for a few games... even if Crouch or Defoe got injured (I hope never both or either) then you can play 4-5-1 so it isn’t a big deal having only 2 strikers... plus we have Eidur... (woppdeedoo) ...
I feel for Pav. He has openly said ... and I quote"Sometimes I have a feeling that Redknapp is just making fun of me," he told Russian newspaperNow if a player has stated he can't play for a club because he is really unhappy then why bother keeping him... surely is psychological state will have an effect on his game and even if he wanted to perform he might not be able too... not to mention the negative atmosphere in the changing rooms...won't his state of mind rub off on other players and demoralise the team?Sport Express.
"I told him that this cannot go on, since I wouldn’t help my team with sad thoughts in my mind.
Harry should let the guy leave. It was a transfer that was doomed from the very beginning. A big money move for a guy that clearly is Russian through and through and does not like change. He was a rushed transfer and the management only looked at his form during the Euro Cup which wasn’t the best judge of character.
Lately Harry has made a lot of mistakes as a manager (not making use of subs, recalling Kyle Walker when he wasn’t going to play and he knew he was bringing in Kaboul, buying Kaboul, selecting a weakened team etc) and I can’t help but think this is going to be another big one on his part.
We all know Pavlyuchenko is a great player but it is clearly time to part with a guy that has helped Spurs, if not for his own careers sake then for Harry’s sake (Some peace and quiet from all the accusations of false promises and for him to show he cares about his players & show some sort of sportsmanship).
But on the other hand... look at the new and imporved & rejuvenated Bentley.. could Pav make a comeback?
Your thoughts on the matter?
Happy Pav:

We need cover for strikers for our push for fourth place or a change in tactics eg his goal against Leeds.
Personally I think Pav has a lot to offer, however what is the point in keeping someone who a) Doesn't want to be here and b) Doesn't get a game anyway.
Imo we should try and get back some of the money we spent on him and put him out of his misery.
As I said before, I think it is a shame to get rid of a player who clearly has lots of talent, but if Redknapp doesn't fancy him whats the point of in continuing to pay his wages.
I think we are yet to see him play alongside a top drawer player here . Lets hope Gudjohnson can re-ignite a fire under hiss ass ............................!!!
I went for Lets Play Him In A Couple Of Games & See (If he ever gets a chance)
I think that is a fair shout Sir Bill, but the question is will he ever get a chance? For some reason Redknapp doesn't fancy him and I can't see the point in shelling out cash every week to a player who just warms the bench. It seems that no matter what he does or how badly we are playing he is never going to get a fair crack of the whip under 'Arry and for that reason I went for sell him.
i think we should cut our losses and wage bill and while we are at it how about throwing in jenas
Not that I want Pav to go, but if i was Pav and sat on the bench and not getting a run out then I would be severly pi**ed off and want to leave.
What has this geezer done so wrong!!!!!
Even Pav says if he stays on the Bench he won't be worth £10mill come Summer time... so may be this is not a financial thing then because they won't recoup anymore money... so may be he is in harry's plans.. who knows what goes on in Arrys mind lol
just hope that if we do sell then its abroad or it could bite us in the ass
The way I see it Harry is worried about having less than 4 strikers in his squad. I'm also not 100% sure that he views Eidur as a striker only. He's said himself that what he loves most about the guy is his versatility to play in a withdrawn role. Therefore he needs Pav as cover with Keane gone.
However, I do think we are going to get to see Pav play in the not-too-distant future. Call it a gut feeling more than anything else (seeing as there is no precedent to indicate such a move) but Harry wouldn't just place Pav and the bench and refuse to sell him just because. He isn't in the business of making his players unhappy for no reason. I think that because of this we will see Pav start to play...if for nothing more than raising his stock for a summer transfer. However, if he comes in as the player we all saw in Euro 2008 then Pav could still have a very bright future at WHL. I just have a feeling that Harry's going to give him a run. I hope I'm right.
<------ Arsene Wenger
I'm waiting for Harry to finally snap and tell the dynamic duo its just not good enough .
Then let the new kid on the block
get in the mix with the old kid on the block

Play him, simple as.
Sick of Harry nursin this bromance that Crouch and Defoe have, when Pav is clearly more talented than Crouch!

Whatever problems Arry and Pav had that is between them still the fact remains that since Keano came back they gave him the first class treatment and what I saw was that he just took a spot back when he should of earned it and that spot belonged to Pav IMO.
I believe Pav is better than Crouch , I do believe Arry is playing a little favoritism and if Pav hurt Arry's feelings in anyway then he has to f#ck!n get over it and start being professional here.
