Aaron Lennon could be back in contention for Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash with Sunderland at The Lane.
The winger suffered an ankle injury late-on in our defeat against Stoke City last month and has sat out our last two games.
But, as manager Harry Redknapp reported in Friday's pre-match press conference, the 22-year-old has been back in training this week.
Harry said: "Aaron worked very hard on Thursday and ran well, so we'll just have to wait and see.
"I'm hoping he'll be ok but it depends on whether or not he has any reaction tomorrow [Saturday], so it's 50-50. We'll see how he feels and if he doesn't feel right then I won't take a chance."
Jermain Defoe, however, will definitely be available again following his three-match suspension for the straight red card he picked up in last month's win at Portsmouth.
And his manager feels the striker owes the team, saying: "It's nice to have Jermain available again. We've got good strikers here but he was in good goalscoring form before his suspension. Not having him cost us quite badly so he's got to make it up to us now for getting sent off."
Meanwhile, Harry also had an update on the fitness of Luka Modric, who has been out of action since August with a fractured fibula.
He added: "Luka's on his way back. He's been working with the fitness coaches and pushing on but he's not at a stage where he can get fully involved in training yet."
Sebastien Bassong also misses out after picking up a hamstring injury late on in last weekend's defeat at Arsenal, while Carlo Cudcini (back) and Giovani Dos Santos (ankle) remain sidelined.

I just read it and started punching the air in excitement! We are so nearly there JD, LENNON & MODRIC are masive for us!
Two back one to go, get in.....
My favourite spurs player!
Excellent - though Fantasy Footbal wise, hope he comes on as sub...
I wonder how bad GDS's ankle is, thats the second time this season already..........
I wanted to start a thread about Lennon and salute him spontaneously but saw this one.
I feel lucky and privileged to be able to follow Aaron Lennon week in week out. I remember his early days for us and when he started to break through properly. If I remember correctly the first game where he showed brilliance was Blackburn away 05/06. He ****ing rounded their left back with amazing speed and served Mido who scored. I sensed that this kid was special the first time I saw him but that match really made me convinced. Then he scored a nice one against Birmingham I think (if I remember the games incorrectly it is because I did a lot of drugs back then, am clean now though). Hes had ups and downs but it feels great that we probably have the fastest player in the league and hopefully an England regular that actually deserves to be in the national squad. I regret deeply that I didnt buy that Spurs uefa cup third kit, the limited edition one that was brown. I would have wanted that with LENNON on the back but I guess I didnt have the money or something. If we produce a nice kit next season im gonna have a Lennon one and hang it up my wall.
A question. What about the kids hair & eyebrows? I saw that Kyle Naughton (I think it was him) had the same copied. Is it some kind of trend?
Anyway, just wanted to write that I am glad and feel privileged to be able to follow the career of such an exciting player. Another great detail is that we got him for what was it? 1,5 million pounds. Thats nothing. Hope he stays with us hes whole career and becomes a true Spurs legend.
Hats off to you Aaron, you have brightened many of my days my friend!

Aaron Lennon is back for Sunday's clash against Wigan at White Hart Lane.
The flying winger has missed the games against Everton, Arsenal and Sunderland after picking up an ankle injury against Stoke back on October 24. The injury also ruled him out of any involvement in England's friendly against Brazil last weekend.
Harry Redknapp confirmed that 'Azza' was ready to return after training on Friday.
Central defender Sebastien Bassong is back in the frame after damaging a hamstring against Arsenal on October 31 while goalkeeper Jimmy Walker is also training again after a wrist problem.
That's perfect timing with fellow keeper Carlo Cudicini now absent with wrist and pelvic injuries as he recovers from his recent road accident.
Carlo has been discharged from hospital today (Friday) - CLICK HERE for the latest news.
Ledley King (hamstring) is running but unlikely to feature against Wigan while the news is good on Luka Modric (fractured fibula) and Giovani (ankle).
Luka's rehabilitation has progressed to running and ball work and Gio is expected to return to full training next week.

He always gives 110%, one of my fav players
Lennon has improved this season in so many of the areas of his game for which he used to be criticised.
Defensively- he tracks back to help Corluka and he helps to press and make life harder for the opposition further up the pitch.
Final Ball- the City game showed it perfectly, he's great at knowing when to play the little drag back for a Huddlestone or Kranjcar shot, and when to stick it up for Crouch or Defoe at the far or near post respectively to try and head home. His delivery against Everton was excellent and he's getting better and better at whipping balls in to the edge of the 6 yard box. 8 assists this season, only Fabregas, Giggs have had more.
Finishing- can still look nervous one on one, but has scored 3 already this season and mainly at vital times (like against Birmingham deep in stoppage time and the winning away at Upton Park).
He has the odd bad game, but they are fewer and fewer. So often he's either man of the match or at least in the top 2, 3 or 4. And to think he cost just £1 million, what a signing from Martin Jol.
