I was watching the North London derby hoping for the same 4-4 type of thriller but was left flabbergasted at the lack of drive from the Tottenham players this time round. But I am sure enough has been said about that so I choose to focus on a few other contentious points:

1) Lennon vs. Bentley
Lennon is indispensible to us and Man Utd has shown how wing play is essential to any time for the past decade. I think this boy could spit into Redknapp's coffee and still get picked ahead of Bentley. Herein lies the problem after Bentley's display which was rather good and one given by a player anxious to take his chance. He won't be too happy playing well and getting used as a sub now will he?

2) Youth
I wrote a rant in the past about how Arsenal gives its youth players a chance in the league cup and also in first time situations. And how Harry could learn. I am here to apologise as Harry abolishes the reserves team this season and sends all the youth players out on loan. This is a great way of blooding the young ones and will be more effective on some players rather than the taarbets who will still not learn the importance of releasing the ball. Well done 'arry.

3) Midfield
I was frustrated with 2 players during the arsenal game. Palacios and Keane. Palacios gave so many balls away and I wondered why huddlestone and him were first choice. I wish to see a jenas/def midfield centre two. Keane is not on form at all since he came back. I don't know whats wrong as I have been a fan since his time at wolves.

4) Crouch
For a tall guy he has a nice touch I often hear, but for a tall man he can't really score headers. Let's face it, he has height yes, but he has one tenth the neck muscles of C.Ronaldo. Which means that while he will win all the balls, he won't be scoring headers. So he should really be used as a decoy, off a fast striker to cushion balls down. But what the heck, its not been working has it. Opposition will put two defenders on the faster chap and end the whole affair. Let's use this guy as an impact sub and try palyanchenko with keane instead, we can't do any worse.
