This time last year we were all considering him getting some game timein the league when we only have Campbell and Pav. Seemed to be a good up and comer, but then got loaned out.
How's he been doing? According to his wikipedia, he hasn't been playing much. The lads has turned 20 now, so does he have a realistic future at Spurs?
Had high hopes but think will be another young 'un that falls by the wayside, seems the jump from promising youngster to a premier league player is huge.
Wonder what the % stats are for the amount of trainees at premier league clubs at 16 that become first team regulars? I think 50 appearances would be enough to be classed as a regular? Well below 10% I bet.
Looked impressive for the Czech U-21s, but so far at club level hes not done too much. Got 1 goal in 2 starts on loan at Soton, and according to Wiki he has 2 in 12 for Slavia. He does have a good future in footall, but not good enough for us. Good luck to the lad where ever he goes
I think with a lot of these lads when we see them at a young age they look as if they have a ton of promise & we all expect to see them doing well in the future. However, it is never quite that simple & we don't get to see them every day in training. As they grow older & develop their games, some develop quicker than others & some just never live up to that early promise. Its difficult to us to comprehend tho without being able to see them play more frequently but the coaches know what they are doing. So many youngsters look as if they are destined for the big time but never quite make it whilst there are plenty youngsters who appear to not quite have what it takes but end up developing into superstars
King and Bongani,
King and Bongani bong!!
(watch out here they come!)
Will we stay or will we go now?
Will we stay or will we go now?
If we go there will be trouble
and if we stay we'll do the double
So Levy has got let us know
Will we stay or will we go!
Rafael, Van Der Vaart
ƒuck Chelsea & Frank Lampard
with a nick-nack paddywhack he'll be getting goals
when Lampard's too fat & old

It takes either an exceptional talent or a few years experience to break into a Premier League team, most PL squads this year will have no youth team players 'breaking through' so it's very difficult. A season in a lower league either here or in Europe is his way forward .....
The new protocol at spurs with the culling of the reserves is to be getting these promising players out on loan to a smaller club to gain experience and exposure.
This makes them much more valuable if they fail to make the grade especially if they have done ok with the club they are on loan at.
If they shine at these clubs they have gained competitive experience and will either be sent out to a higher level club or recalled to be given their chance in our side.
Either way it is a much better thing for Spurs overall.
You have to remeber with these lads that 1 out of every 100,000 get a pro contract.
Out of that small percent that make the initial grade less than half will renew their contract.
Its tough for sure.
