Can the papers just shut up about Gomes????
He is our number 1 keeper and not leaving.
He is not on bad form and in fact finished last season as one of the best keepers in the league.
It is laughable that the mirror toiletpapaer are suggesting that we are swapping Cudicini and £1m for David James so that David James can improve his world cup chances! NO! If he came to Tottenham, he would be sat firmly on the bench! how will that help him???
well said spurs striker..
i DO NOT want calamity james at our football. gomes is a champ and il support him even when hes got the worst form in the league

Sky Sports | Football | Premier League | News | Gomes - Many clubs want me
Gomes rocks, myself being a keeper at regional club, I know how hard it can be in goal, but ever since that "start" hes been great for us in more matches i can count with my fingers!
He aint going no where!
Coooome oooon yoooou spuuuurs, cooome ooon yooou spuuurs.
The one thing I have read that sort of put me off was an article in which Gomes was quoted as saying that a bunch of teams were after him but he would stay at Spurs "for now" or something along those lines. The last thing we need right now is Gomes getting a big ego. He needs to stay level headed so he doesnt begin the season this year as he did last.
Im confident that he we start strong, though. He is an incredible shot stopper and with a year in the PL will be more ready to do work on crosses, set pieces, and the like.
Any details coming out about what his injury is?
groin. no word on how severe, but he had the same injury last winter, if memory serves.
This is a blow - and looks like we are light in keepers now.
Cudicini is good but not top class - maybe we should have gone for James after all!
