I had my doubts when he signed but they have disappeared quickly after an impressive showing in pre-season so far. Looks more than capable and is very confident on the ball giving the easy pass and making good forward runs. He also slots in nicely at right-back when he plays right midfield showing his versatility between the two positions despite preferring the RB role.
Redknapp is certainly impressed with Naughton: http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukp...RvBo_ZQhEtmYuw
Let's hope Kyle Naughton keeps impressing so we can keep writing lots of positive things on this thread during his first full season at Spurs.

"Modric could play in any team in the world in my opinion, he's a fantastic footballer, top, top class."
This guy is the one player I want to see more of. I was so impressed with him in last years pre-season. He was a bit naive defensively, but was good on the ball and effective going forward. I really was filled with a lot of optimisum......
I haven't seen any of our games pre-season this year, but from what i have read, he did ok even though he was played out of position at LB.
I personally think out of the 2 Kyles he is the better one and really could be our right back version of Gareth Bale, but it seems that Harry doesn't fancy him at all.........
If I was Harry id sell Hutton and have Corluka and Naughton fighting for that RB spot.

putting both the kyles out on loan could benefit both, I rate Walker more than I do Naughton. Both need the games though so hopefully they do well

I dont think Naughton has been given a proper chance yet but I really hope he gets some chances to prove himself, before too long.
IMO, with Corluka not playing very well, this saturday is the best opportunity to play him. I personally don't think Harry rates Hutton, so Naughton imo, should play. He was brilliant in pre-season last year. Give him a chance.
Also he can play Right midfield, so could deputise for Lennon. Anyway, this is what Harry said about last year......

I'd like to see him get a shot but it won't happen, Kaboul more likely to deputise there. Either way Corluka should be dropped for now
Seems like Naughton was favored early in his time here but since then Walker has replaced him. With Walker out on loan perhaps its time for Naughton to step up and get a run in. But I agree with the Kaboul sentiment. His best position for us has been on the right side. He has the aggressiveness going forward that Charlie lacks and has proved that his defending is up to it. A CB pairing involving Bassong might be scary to some but at the moment I would line him up with Gallas and let Kaboul play wide right.

Wolves have a tricky winger in Matt Jarvis who could give Charlie a hard time again so why dont we try Naughton who is a natural RB and is a better option than Kaboul in that position, give him a chance Arry , why the hell not ?

I think it comes down to how match fit he is, and after getting 90 minutes under his belt in that XI game I think he might be a good option but I wouldnt put it past Harry to see Kaboul playing there on saturday. However, with King likely to be rested he could go with a CB pairing between Gallas/Kaboul/Bassong so that may very well get Naughton a start....yet Hutton played RB in the XI game so he could be a surprise to see (but I dont think he'll play for us again)

If we drop points against wolves.. as frustrated as i'd be, two words would sum it up. Typical tottenham!
I don't think 'Arry will try anything too risky against wolves, i see him going for something like
Kaboul-Gallas-Bassong-Bale
Lennon-Hudd-Jenas-Modric
-------------Vdv-------------
------------Crouch----------
I'd like to see Giovani in favour of Lennon too tbh, he's been as bad as anyone
Bump*
He has joined Leicester City on loan until January.
Steven Caulker is the messiah!
Not sure this is a great idea. Do we have the option of getting Walker back anytime soon? Wasn't his loan short?
