Its not really a shock, not the greatest player to put on a spurs shirt but at least you never heard him moaning about playing week in week out in the reserves
good luck to him
true!!,he got a nice wee addition to his c.v. as well.
not the greatest, but by no means the worst! quite the clear out weve had there.
Give a man a fire, he'll be warm for a night, set a man on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life!
Maybe he should have been moaning and proving himself for 1st team selection. Or maybe he was happy to take our money and play in the reserves. He was in his late 20's when he arrived at WHL, hardly an age to have no ambition.
Good luck to him.................'good header of the ball'....for his CV...can't think of much else to say about him.
WE'RE THE PARK LANE
WE ARE N17
I see what you're saying but if he would have come out and said "why am I not in the first team?, when am I going to play?" people would have got angry/annoyed at him and just say he is quite clearly not as good as corluka(cb)/dawson/woodgate/king
and also not being given a shirt number at the start and then being given one as a token gesture to bring the squad together, I don't think that would be too motivating

Got a bit of a gripe with this.
Why the fook didn't we sell the useless feckers for a few hundred grand to a chumpionsh!t side or some bunch of unsusspecting foreigners???
Having to do this on my itouch as my pappy powerpack has just blown up!!!
Fooooooook
I've got to agree with P UNIT, there had to be some cash in this... I know it is the decent thing to do with the young lads, so if they can get a new club they can get a decent salary, but Harry has already publicly said (does he not say everything this way though) he has to sell to buy all the players he wants, so why was something not sorted in January window, even if it was for a nominal fee to bolster the funds long term?
I remember the job he did on Drogba when we played them at their place (4-4 draw iirc). This was when Drogba was on top of his game and Rocha didn't give him a sniff. I liked the guy, never complained and just got on with the job.
Useless player that shoudl have been sold yonks ago to raise some cash!
Was never going to play for Spurs again so why keep him, now get the 5 or 6 others that are leaching off the club out of the door.
Please let Gilberto follow him out the door.
COME ON YOU SPURS!!!
theres no incentive for these guys to leave.they are on really good money and i know they will have to step down to a lower club to move, who wont pay anywhere near to what they were getting paid at spurs.cant see anyone lining up for rocha and gilberto ,and im afraid to even ask how long of a contract that knob gilberto has left.he wil sit there getting his big bucks they have no shame, and lets face would you move job for less money
And the Fooker is if we say to them, "find ya self a club and you can leave on a free" we would still have to pay him compo for the wages he would have earned.
Pricks
exactily mate but with this bleeding waste of oxygen i thinkk we should just cut him loose ,cant think theres one spurs fan happy to still see gilberto at the club
Gilberto's contract ends on July 1st 2009 (I think, definitely this year at least) so not long for him to go (thank god), To be fair, they wouldn't be the hottest targets on the market but they are capped internationals, Gilberto has 24 brazil caps!, so surely we could have got 1/2mil for the pair of them, I just hope we don't do this with kevin prince-boateng, I want rid of that guy so bad but don't want a 5mil loss on him
24 brazil caps i wouldnt give him a baseball cap ffs ,just goes to show you hes been getting away with murder for years hee hee
