What a game he had today, certainly did deserve the MOTM. He played very good today, passed, long passes to switch play, shots from far out which we don't have. The power this guy has in his boots is tremendous.
Did I even see him making a slide tackle today, what an improvement. I much rather see him in CM with Palacios than Jenas. We need someone to provide those long balls, great passes and the odd powerful shot from outside the box.
He had 2 good chances to score! Good saves tho
Arry must hang onto Hudds during the summer.
He is our long term future. Brill having a player who can shoot from way out.
He must be in the next England Squad after that performance.
WE'RE THE PARK LANE
WE ARE N17
I agree that he played well yesterday, weren't so sure last week against West Ham mind. I reserve judgement at the moment as I have seen him have good games before. Tbh Newcastle were poor. Let's see how he gets on against United and the the game after that and then the game after that etc. We all know that on his day he can pass the ball well and has a good shot on him, but let's not get over excited just yet. One swallow doesn't make a summer.
Tommy played well yesterday and i believe he had 3 (not 2) long range shots? If he carries on like that he will be scoring goals and back in the England set up. Not just under 21s
He has a long long way to go before that happens. I cannot believe what I am reading on here. Let's be honest, last week he had an average game, yesterday he played well. Are people seriously saying that he is on his way to playing for England ahead of the likes of Gerrard and Lampard? In the same way that a player should not be slaughtered for the odd poor performance a player should not be made out to be the best thing since sliced bread on the odd good performance!! Time will tell if Tommy really has started to realise his potential but as I said earlier let's not get too excited just yet!!
While there is no denying he has as powerful shot as just about anyone, Huddlestone doesn't excite me. Other than his occasional long pass or stinging shot he doesn't do much. He seems to make about 4-5 nice plays a game (which get everyone excited about his potential), but as a whole he disappears from the game for large chunks of time. He just doesn't seem to have the work rate on the field or the internal fire that it would take to be a consistently top performer.
'He is a very good FUTURE England player' is he?? You can tell that by one good performance against a very poor Newcastle side. Potential is the word most associated with Hudd, yet how long do we keep saying that. What I am saying is, let's just see how things go if he gets a bit of a run in the team. One bad performance and everyone will be on his case again!!
Its about time he got the praise he deserves. He plays with real style and creates dangerous attacks with his excellent passing, he is also very strong and can bully most attacking midfields off the ball. I would like him to take set peices more often, he has a great technique. It particulaly annoys me when he plays for England under 21 and they have a free kick on the edge of the area, I don't think I'v ever seen him miss from there and then they let some light weight hit it!
Good Evening, he does not do enough, and isn't always up
for it. Only last week he was saying he'd have to look elsewhere
if he is not in the team. Another player who thinks he should
just walk in to the eleven, a couple of good performances when
Tom feels like it, simply isn't good enough.
If he wants to go in the Summer, I'd let him leave, Fulham were
rumoured to be interested...

He needs to be far more consistent. Funster said on another thread recently that he is no more than a squad player and I tend to agree. One good performance does not change that, it just gives him a better chance to make the starting 11 next time round. If he is still doing it after 6 or 7 games then we can maybe start to give him the praise he is getting now.
Jesus and people say im quick to judge Spurs players FFS, so he has a half decent game against the friggin toon and hes being touted as the Englands future saviour!
Did i also read right and to quote he is also very strong and can bully most attacking midfields off the ball that has got to be the sillyest statement yet, his problem is the fatc he doesnt boss the midfield for a man his size he doesnt get stuck in what so ever.
For me he so so much more to do to make the midfielfd spot his own.
Agree with Slim if Fulham still want him then i wouldnt shed a tear either.
F*ck Stratford!!!!
ah cmon..it was just one game...ok he is young and everyone can have good one day performance after mostly bad and average ones...
it reminds me on Walcott,he was praised like a God after he scored 3 goals against Cro and after that nothing,it was like some step up in his football carreer but he stayed at same level after that...
il admit he is great only if he can put performance like that in 6 of 10 matches at least...he needs to be constantly good to get valued...
