Harry redknapp confirmed that Michael dawson suffered an ankle injury against Newcastle but won't know the full extent of the problem until he gets the results of the scan.
The defender - back in the side in Ledley King's absence - was in dominant form up against the aerial threat of Toon striker Andy Carroll but landed awkwardly just after the half-hour.
He stayed down and had to be stretchered off.
'Daws' later limped out of White Hart Lane on crutches with his left foot in a protective boot.
"It's either ligament damage or, hopefully not, a fracture but I wouldn't want to say at this point," reported Harry after our 1-0 win.
"He's going to have a scan and we'll have to wait and see. It looked quite nasty though.
"It was a big blow because he dealt with every every header in the first 25 minutes or so and looked a tower of strength."
Hopefully it's not that bad and be back soon
