Great interview with Ledley- such a shame how things have gone for him-gotta admit, I get frustrated sometimes with our lack of continuity in the back, but thank goodness this guy is in this club...
Saturday interview: Ledley King tells Amy Lawrence about Tottenham, England and his Champions League dreams | Football | The Guardian
one more note on King: if you read the interview, he says one of his dream is to play in the Champions League- just about every single time you hear a player say that, it means they want a transfer...(Berbatov) But he's talking about getting himself fit and leading his bottom half team to the top four. If he can't play, he needs to be part of the staff or something...
no doubt here that theres no way king will ever ask for a transfer from tottenham.
the guy is the pure spurs essence through and through. a modern day legend. and despite having a dodgy knee, still the best defender in the league. although im not sure what he can do to fix his problem but i have no doubt he will do everything possible and as we have seen, not wanting to jinx anything but hes got alot more play time this year under his shirt than last year, and hopefully next year will be better. you can see when he plays that he does nothing but ooze love for the shirt and it makes you wonder if its due to his hard work that this dodgy knee stuff has come about. since we seem to have alot of lay abouts over the years who never get injured :P
"It's about getting the best out of the lads and confidence. Life is about confidence. Whatever you do in life, if you are not confident you don't perform. It's up to me to get the confidence running through the players and if I can get that instilled you'll see a team that will really play." - Harry Redknapp - 29/10/2008
i agree with you stroud_jm he definetly needs to be a part of spurs stuff when he retires from soccer......he was great today and he is the reason we kept a clean sheet againts manu and chelsea today
living legend.
good interview. thank you
