Bayern Munich want £8million Dimitar Berbatov | The Sun |Sport|Football

Right before you all shoot me, remember this guy, besides being mainly a bench warmer, was top goal scorer in the Premiership last season.

would you take him back? I know he's getting on, but I think he's just what we need, he wouldn't demand the same wage packet as Ade and IMO is just as good...

what's everyone's thoughts on if we tried to re-sign him for £8m ???

I think £8m for the current holder of the Golden Boot award is a bargain, would he come back to us?

I'm not sure he would come, and I also think he is a bit to lazy for our team as it is now. Before he partnered Robbie Keane who worked hard and made up for Berba's laziness. They where fantastic strikeforce and if Rafa and Berba where that good together then we would be dangerous. I think he is more ruthless in the box than Ade but I'm not sure he is a team player like Ade. So I'm not if A, he would come and B, if he is right for us.

i think if he was to come back he would understand that he would have to work very hard to win a lot of Spurs fans over, however no many people liked the idea of Ade coming to us, and thought he would never come to us... the fans before hand that didn't like him have now been converted and he did come to us... footballs a funny game, you never know whats round the corner

once he is here and starts scoring goals, bitter memories may be left aside by some (but not me).

      However, I definitely dont want him because;
      - He is 30 yo and goes downwards physically.
      - He is not as clinical as he had been with us anymore.
      - Even if he is a surplus in Utd, he would still demand lots of money.
      - Second visits do not make any good to neither players nor clubs (i.e. Keane coming back from Liverpool)
      - And most of all, He snubbed our Spurs for more money and glory!!!!

if he was willing to come for reasonable money wage wise then i would definitely take him. He's clearly willing to sit on the bench however just not for the amount of games that united have made him sit on it for. He's the kind of player you need in your squad. He's exactly like gallas still more than good enough however content with not playing every game he also has the experience that you can never have to much of. I think wages are the only question for me. I mean pav or berba? No competition.

Not the right striker for us. Too lazy, not enough range up top. Needs to play alongside someone like Keane or Rooney to be at his best.

He took the piss out of the club. F!!!ed of for more money and I got the impression he couldn't wait to go. BTW, we got £32.5m for him. We got our moneys worth out of him. May we never see him back at the Lane.

He suited us before as everything went through him last time and we had runners that worked off him, but we've moved on big time.

We rely on movement and pace and Berby has neither, he was the main part of our attacks, but now we have Bale, Azza & VDV I don't think we need a player just to hold up the play.

Ade moves a lot across the pitch and draws defenders out of position, which enables Bale, VDV & Azza more room.

A very important point that all those numpties who claim he doesn't score enough should take into consideration.

... and the ball doesn't bounce right back off him on impact either. which is nice : )

but anyway yeah, berbatov left the fans snarling for his blood. he moved to man u. he won the title and finished top goal scorer for the season. then, the next season he is dropped. now it seems he is on his way out.

meh! i'd be gutted but then, he has tasted success so... afm; i wish him all the best whatever he does, what a player! maybe, i'd swap him for 1 of our current forwards at the drop of a hat, given half the chance.
