With Rio Ferdinand and John Terry both ruled-out for England's friendly against Egypt on 3rd March at Wembley, isn't it time that Michael Dawson gets his long overdue full England debut?

Dawson has been capped at England "B" level and has been included in full England squads, but has yet to play a game for the National team.

If there is any justice left in this strange world then Daws will not only make the squad but start against Egypt, by far the most improved CB in the country IMO and once he gets in the team I can see him going to the WC and coming home a hero...simples

Yeah Dawson must be in line for a start. I still think he is prone to one mistake a game that he needs to cut out, maybe it's just concentration but he has been magnificent for us on the whole.

Even if the Terry and Rio fit I still think he would be just behind them in term of a England place.

I don't see it simply because his name is Dawson. He just doesn't seem to be that highly rated by anyone outside the Lane. While I agree he deserves a shot, I think the nod will go to players with more known names.

dawson performed better than rio this season.
Also maybe as good as terry.
Terry has been horrible vs wolves , everton and vs inter milan.

While dawson rarely had a bad game this season.

england call up is wayyyyy due.

Needs to be called up asap then make him captain and everything is alright.

As much as I hate to say this, but I think it'll be Upson lining up against Rio. Lescott may return in time. I would like to see a squad place for Dawson but his lack of international experience may hamper that

Maybe that lack of international level but that still he deserved to be called up. Hopefully we will play in europe every year so that dawson can lead us to some trophys in international level and then make the captain if not now!
