This will be a chat about Russian Premier League and russian players.
First of all, it is interesting what do english fans know and think about russian football.
There is loads of money in it at the top. Other teams seem to struggle along.
From what I have read its run by crooks and many of the deals are shady as fook.
I cant see is emulating the EPL as players wont want to play in the snow if they had a choice. Many Italian internationals turn their noses up at the EPL because of the weather.
It's a disputable issue about money in big clubs of RPL. For example Spartak's year budget $50-60 mln, last season we finished - 8. And Amkar (Perm) had less money and finished higher. Unfortunally rich people like Abramovicn and Usmanov prefer invest their money in EPL. So i can't say that our top clubs (except of Zenit) are rich.
There is a good match on sunday CSKA - Lokomotiv 4-1.
Very interesting manch. Good play of Zhirkov, he scored 1 goal and 1 time hit the crossbar. But there is a much better match of Alan Dzagoev, scored 2 goals 1 from a header and 1 direct free kick. That is why Dzagoev is the best scorer of RPL now with 3 goal in 3 matches(he play as AMF or SS). For me he`s a russian Del Piero)) Very big talent
P.S. Sorry for my bad English![]()
Kolodin your doing great mate and it's interesting to know about the Russian league and players. Good man..............keep posting
There is Russian Cup Finale on Sunday, between Rubin(Kazan) and CSKA(Moscow). 1st and 2nd place of last championship called Russian Premier League. Rubin would be played in next CL like a CSKA.
Russian Cup goes to Moscow.
CSKA - Rubin 1-0
Goal: Aldonin 90+2 (good shot from 20-25 yards)
red card: Mamaev(CSKA) on 13 minute.
That is why, Krylia Sovetov play in Intertoto!) Of course you don`t know this team but there is a Jan Koller who played for them.)
Mamaev is called for international duty by Hiddink so as Aldonin.
10 June Finland - Russia
I don't think u'd be able to support ya team when the weather is -27 C. in february...

Can somebody please find me a decent site with Russian League dates and fixtures. I'm going to Moscow at the end of October and I'd like to go to a match if it's possible.
UEFA.com - Member associations - Russia - Overview
Hey Charlotte, you can go there and if ya scroll down a little there should be a tab where it domestic league standings. on there should be something that has "next fixtures" and then maybe you can click on each team to see one you are more interested in going to see. enjoy the trip to russia though!

Russian Premier League Table - ESPN Soccernet
you can also check here on the table and then click on the individual team to see which one will be home and whatnot.

It seems that CSKA is playing at home while I'm in Moscow... I hope I'll find some time then.
