We're going to be driving through Denver on our way to see friends and noticed the Galaxy are playing in Denver that same weekend. A couple quick changes of plans, and a phone call later and I have tickets for the whole family to see Galaxy v Colorado. I'm pretty pumped. Last time I saw two American professional teams play live--one of the was the Minnesota Kicks! (How's that for a blast from the past???) I'm going to have to put the big lens on the camera and get some good shots of Beckham and Donovan.
I hope you enjoy yourself. Take lots of pictures!
......And post them up here please![]()
Enjoy it! I'd love to go to an MLS game one day to see what the atmosphere is like in comparison to what I'm used to in Europe.
Yeah post the pictures here please!![]()
Sounds like you should have a good day.
Hope you and the family enjoy it
I'm really going to have to make a trip to the states a priority.
Would actually be nice to travel around and meet a few of the US Yids![]()

Match is tomorrow. First we have to drive 11 hours to get there--and across the entire length of Nebraska, no less.Yes, I will post pictures. After the match we're going to spend the entire week in Colorado, so not only to I get to to see two first-rate teams, but I also get to chase some trout! Talk to you lads when I get back in about 9 days!
Colorado, especially the Denver area, is beautiful (a bit hard to breathe in.) I went there a couple years ago and have missed it ever since.
If you're short of things to do there, check out the Lo-Do around Coors Field, it's amazing.
11 hours of driving just to see a match... respect..
i need 5-6 hours to get from vienna austria to bosnia and hercegovina to see my house relatives friends dog and cat (yes dog and cat are best buddies)..
Just got back yesterday. After spending a night in Denver we went further west and spent a week in the mountains.
Really impressed with The Colorado stadium. Nice seating all around--I felt real close to the pitch. We arrived about 20 minutes before the gates opened and was surprised to see a lot full of people tailgating. One we got in, we walked around the stadium to get the feel of it.

Once the match got started we had excellent seats.

The only downer was the concessions. Worst service I have ever seen. stood in line for 15 minutes for a beer! At least they had a good selection and it was cold.
The match was pretty good despite no Beckham (injury) or Donovan (Gold Cup) I thought the crowd was very knowledgeable, the songs and chants from the Rapids faithful were pretty clever from what I could hear, (The galaxy supporters...wow...lame, lame, lame...) and the quality of play was quite surprising. We were treated to an excellent Galaxy goal right in front of us.
Still some genuine mistakes on defense but over all a great experience. The snow-capped Rockies in the background certainly helped!
The rest of the week we travelled Colorado. Caught a real nice brown trout on Tuesday--the day my camera batteries died! Saw some elk, some big horn sheep, hiked some amazing canyons and up to some gorgeous waterfalls. We truly enjoyed all of God magnificently created beauty. It's obvious he used all his creative juices on Colorado and didn't save any for Nebraska.
