I admire your optimism! This time of year is when I get the annual feeling of giddiness waiting for the baseball season (and good weather) to start. I am also trying to rationalize the Indians are in a crappy division and our young arms will be better than expected but sadly think it will be another rebuilding year..

Couldn't find a "baseball" forum so apologies if this is posted in the wrong place.

BUT, it has begun! Between the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals! Personally I'm pulling for the Rangers, Josh Hamilton used to play for Durham's farm team and he went to school about 15 minutes away so I must be a fan of him. Oh plus he recovered from a drug addiction which deserves some respect.

But anyway... I don't really like baseball, used to play it and was actually pretty good but then I realized I didn't want mouth cancer from spitting tobacco all day and that if I was to pursue a career in standing around for 3 hours and occasionally swinging something hard and wooden... well I didn't want to pursue that career. Still, baseball is to the U.S. as football is to the U.K. so I must watch.

And please no "it's just cricket" or "you stole it from rounders" or else I will be forced to go into a rant about how no one cares who invented what you stupid british punk. Please don't make me do that.
