Who says chivalry is dead? Gallant baseball fan jumps out of the way of speeding ball... and lets it hit his furious girlfriend

A baseball fan was embarrassed on live television after he jumped out of the way of a mishit ball which then hit his girlfriend.
The couple were watching the Atlanta Braves against the Houston Astros in Houston when the batter hit a foul ball high into the stadium.
Cameras caught the ball falling into the crowd as fans jumped to the feet to try and catch it.

I've got it! Bo moves towards the ball with his hands up to catch it as his girlfriend Sarah flinches



He's bailed: But the gallant Bo jumps aside at the last moment and the ball hits his unprepared girlfriend

But at the last moment the chivalric man, who was nearest to the ball, jumps out of the way leaving it to hit his unprepared girlfriend still sitting in her seat.
The ball struck her painfully on the elbow and she was clearly unimpressed with her boyfriend and vented her frustration in front of the crowd.
The woman, identified only as Sarah, said after the game that she had tried to persuade the man, named Bo, to change their seats because she was worried a ball could come their way.

He's smiling: The injured girl clutches her bruised elbow as Bo looks back at the action on the field



Wimp: Sarah then ridicules her boyfriend's attempts to protect her before the pair were interviewed during the match



Here you have it: Bo offers the captured baseball as a peace offering, but it doesn't look like Sarah is too impressed

But she said he claimed he would catch it if one did.
The couple were interviewed during the game and the sheepish boyfriend claimed he did not mean to duck out of the way of the ball, but was blinded by bright stadium lights.
The interviewer nicknamed him 'Bo the Bailer' and said he should have moved to protect his girlfriend if he had lost sight of the ball.

What they didn't tell you is that when they got home beat him to a bloody pulp with a baseball bat and shoved the ball that hit her up his ass.
