The official entry list for the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship was republished by the FIA on Wednesday evening. Following weeks of speculation the sport’s governing body has confirmed the North Carolina-based US team will not compete, which means 12 teams will line up on the grid at next week’s season-opener in Bahrain.

For those who are confuzed by the team names the name of the team is followed by the engine makers in alot of cases; for example STR Ferrari is not ferrari but torro rosso running ferrari engines like last season.

Pre-season testing has seen Mclaren, Renault and BMW Sauber set the pace with flashes of strength from Mercedes, Williams cosworth (mostly Hulkenberg) and Ferrari.

Schumacher returns to the sport with Mercedes

Nephew of Senna will drive this season for HRT (previously campos)

New points system 25,18,15,12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2,1.

Refueling is now Banned, stops will only be for Tyres.






So guys, wondering who you will tip for victory for the opening week and possibly for the season even though its very early to predict. Been a Ferrari fan since i was fairly young around 1998 i would say mostly because of Schumacher(Im not a glory hunter ! i support tottenham -.-) so its wierd for me to be anticipating the start to a season hoping my team will do well, but also wishing another driver all the best simply for what he achieved with my team. On the subject of Bahrain i would tip Hamilton for victory in the dry and Schumacher, Vettel or Massa in the wet depending on performance. As for the season Ferrari will always be strong with the best young driver in the field in Alonso and a very solid aggressive driver in Massa, Mclaren have a "dream team" of the last two world champions ,but since his move from Brawn (Now mercedes) Button hasnt stepped out of Hamiltons shadow and Red Bull have drivers with so much potential should be an exciting season.

Sponsors dropped out, funding was cut and they couldn't afford to compete. They asked to be delayed until next year but they have to reapply.

I can't wait for the F1 season to get cooking. I hate the offseason and feel I don't have anything to do when monging around on the sofa at midday on a sunday.

I really wouldn't like to predict what's going to happen over the course of the season. We have no idea who is quick and who isn't.
