Just seen the highlights again of the Stoke Spurs match. looking at bale's goal (WHAT A GOAL) as lennon breaks free of Glen Whelan, Whelan twice snaps at lennons ankles but can't catch him as he was to fast for him.

But what annoyed me was that throught out the whole match thats all they where doing the whole match clipping heels yet they dont get booked for persistent fouling

I was getting majorly angry at the way they were knocking Gomes around. Their strategy was get set piece run into Gomes hope something good happens.

The ref was very weird, wasn't sure how to deal with the game. Turned out well, though...

It's how Tony Pulis set's them up to play. Their told to intimidate and beat up other teams. Their trying to survive in the PL every season and it works for them. As a pure football fan it's 'orrible to watch and sadder when your team falls for it.

Yeah, Gomes got the worst of it. I think after his poor game a couple of years ago Stoke know that he might make mistakes if they put him under pressure. My hope is that Young Boys don't catch on to this and start throwing themselves to the floor looking for free kicks around our penalty area so they can cause trouble for Gomes. They will undoubtedly have watched the Stoke game and be aware of it.

Stoke are an utterly disgusting and awful team. Pulis is a backward manager and it would really delight me if they went down. Of course the media praise them for their hard work but that just sums up this countries view to football. Stoke are negative and filthy. I heard Pulis on the radio say that Gomes was fouled but it was a goal....well it isn't a goal then is it if Gomes was fouled. He is really from the fat Sam/Mark Hughes school of managing, always whinging with no credit for the opposition when we were all over stoke. Also although i hate the scum, when ramsey had his leg broken all Pulis did was moan that wenger was slating shawcross when it was a disgusting tackle. God i hate that man and that disgusting team.

the one that really wound me up was when shawcross tackled bale and deliberately kept his foot in after the tackle intending to injure him, that is just foul play, trying to deliberately injure someone to take them out of the game

i am all for a good honest tackle and i think these days it is turning into a powderpuff sport but i can't stand people intending to hurt a fantastic player

and no i am not sticking up for arsenal, wenger thinks people are out to kick arsenal but he's wrong, neither the eduardo or ramsey injuries were intended but i think that shawcross deliberately tried to hurt bale this time

i like stoke, honest, traditional club with an english, traditional and honest manager with passionate fans but it's ok being an aggressive team but you need to be harsh but fair

Shawcross is a thug, I saw that 'tackle; on Bale too - disgusting. But what do you expect from a team of neanderthals? Don't think Shawcross meant to break Ramsey's leg but it was a nasty tackle yet the media claimed he was the victim of the incident when he's a very dirty player. Hate him, was delighted to see him have such a bad game. One of my most hated players in the league, pure filth.

So playing with no footballing ability and beating teams based on a combination of fouling and set pieces makes them traditional? They are not fair, kicking players of the ball and going out to hurt other players is not honest.

Shawcross is the worst player, most stupid, ignorant, idiot wanna be plastic thug i've seen on a pitch. Reminds me of Ben Thatcher. What an asshole.!! How do players like that get to play on a football pitch in the PL. Tony Pulis encourages them to deliberately break legs. They put English Football in the dark ages. And Ricardo Fuller should try Rugby. 'Orrible team..!

I'd have shawcross all day long for us.

Stokes tactics are filth as well their manager should be ashamed to coach them like that.

Would you pay £40 a week to watch a team do that without trying to play football.

      I fookin would not.

This is one way for a team to stay up, I'd never support such anti-football though.

It's the only way they can stay up and they do it well. We showed them how we do it, and came away with all the points and that will do for me.

Yep, I'm a scum fan because I can recognise a leg breaking tackle for being disgusting. If you think that was a fair tackle then you need to have a word with yourself. It was reckless and violent. Shawcross is a thug and it's the type of tackle I expect from him. If a spurs player had their leg broken in a similar tackle I'm sure you opinion would change. I wouldn't wish a leg break on any player and did feel sorry for ramsey. All though maybe you like thuggery in football
