another game on monday night against rivals west ham at the lane, 2 games in 3 days isn't good for the teams fitness but this is where our percieved strong squad has to play a factor in our top 4 bid, we have a great recent record against the spammers and they are struggling at the minute but a victory against pompey at home will boost morale, we could record our second consecutive league double over the spammers but, despite their lack of quality throughout the team, they will fight with passion as they think of us as their main rivals in london

team: gomes, corluka, king, dawson (c), assou-ekotto, lennon, palacios, huddlestone, modric, crouch, defoe

subs: walker, hutton, bassong, jenas, kranjcar, pavlyuchenko, keane

predicted score: 2-0 spurs, defoe and keane

defoe in for keane, keane has been again sh!te against fulham and the wee man called jermain has 15 goals in 21 appearances this season, he'll be a threat to their defence and we just cannot leave him on the bench again, crouch compliments him well and he doesnt score many goals, but he sets them up for jermain with flick ons in behind their defence for defoe to pick out, huddlestone for jenas, again jenas was shocking as usual, huddlestone's passing will be key in their to unlock their defence, ledders to come in for bassong, who took a knock today on the head, ledders needs game time and i always feel good when he is on the pitch, even after 3 clean sheets in a row, modders in to give niko a rest, he also needs game time and will get a rousing reception at the lane, he could cause problems on the left

need a win to keep continuity and i think we will get one

Wouldn't mind seeing Huddlestone come back into the team. However, I think this may be a good time to try out Kranjcar and Modric in the same team. With this in mind, I may sit Palacios, as he's not been playing very well of late.

Jenas shouldn't touch the field again for a while. After a decent game against Blackburn, he was utter shit today.

Would like to see Rose on the bench, with him possibly coming on for either Modric or Kranjcar if we're ahead around 70 minutes or so.

I see us taking this one 2-0. Defoe brace. Modric with one of the assists.
      We all follow the Tottenham!

I'd be tempted to rest Lennon for this one, put Modders playing from the right and Kranjcar playing from the left. If we find out that we're too central and one-dimensional we can bring Lennon on in the last half hour and see if his pace can pierce them.

Right, West Ham - It's a derby. We can't rest. :| One of our biggest fixtures (Behind Chelsea nd Shitenal) .
Defoe, Crouch, Modric, Kranjcar, Palacios, Modric, Huddlestone, Dawson, BAE, King, Lennon ALL need to be around.
Keane has let me down and yet again shown us why 'arry doesn't put him in the 1st team!!

Changes that must be made include Jenas and Keane to the bench (if in the squad at all), King at CB for Bass (could use a rest after being knocked out cold at the end of the fulham match), and Modric somehow in the squad.

      ------------Gomes-----------
      ---Corluka-Daws-King-BAE---
      -----------Palacios-----------
      ----Lennon--------Kranjcar---
      -----------Modric------------
      ------Crouch-----Defoe-------

Subs: Walker, Bassong, Huddlestone, Pav, Keane, Naughton, Bentley

I think we'll win this one 3-0. Defoe will get back to his goal scoring ways and Crouch will add one as well. The defense will be strong again and with no Carlton Cole the spammers are really soft in attack.

This is going to be a tough match as the pikeys were very unlucky against Chelsea last week and deserved to win rather than draw. They also have just beat Portsmouth so i dont think we will roll them over and they will kick the crap out of us.

We do need to win do as i would have took 4 points against Fulham and Spammers so as we have drew with Fulham this is a bit of a must win to keep ahead of a couple of teams.

      matches like this worry me.!

we have such a good record off late against the pikeys that the law off averages dictates the pikeys could something from this game.

but hopefully i,m talking out off my a*se and we stuff them.

and to be honest, if we play at the top of our game, then we will win.so heres hoping we give it 100% for three very important points.

There is a big difference between the Spammers playing at home or abroad, at home they are a tough side (same as Stoke, Burnley, Fulham), away they are crap. Statistics - Wet Spam home 3 wins, 3 draws, 4 defeats Wet Spam away 1 win, 3 draws, 5 defeats which sums it up all. Plus: Tottenham vs Wet Spam statistics since 1994: Spurs at home 9 wins, 3 draws, 3 defeats, the last home defeat against Wet Spam was in 1999.

Mate its a London derby and to be more precise its their biggest game of the season so dont just throw facts at their previous record away from upton park, they will be bang up for this getting stuck into the likes of Modric and Lennon to break our play up.

We must drop the shit from the team that lets us down consistantly ie Keane JJ and for me King needs to come in for Bassong whos looked off the pace recently.

Defoe will be right up for this one as always and im sure the travelling gypo's will give him a lovely reception.

Im going for a tight 2-1 win for the boys.

3 points and nothing less will do, it will be a tough, tough game and we must be alert and concentrate for the whole game however long it lasts, however I have no doubt that we will win and win well if we play to our very best form

The Pikies will want this more than any game of the season.

Its the most important game of their entire campaign.

We need the wastes of skin dropped and player that actually want to battle and produce a peformance to be in the suad for this crucial match.

They have their tails up since drawning at the Chavs and playing pompey off the park.

The need a huge dose of reality and we need to administer it and put the pikey fookers back in their place.

      JJ, Keano, OUT

      Modric, JD IN.

The thing that worries me is that all those spammers looking to escape that shithole at Upton Park, like Scotty Parker, Matty Upson etc will put in a full shift to encourage Arry to make a firm bid and give us plenty to worry about.

Ledley King is expected to start for Tottenham, and Sebastien Bassong should be cleared to play despite a kick to the head against Fulham on Boxing Day.
Top scorer Jermain Defoe will return to the side after being on the bench at Craven Cottage, while Luka Modric is pushing for a starting spot.

Good to sing King there - always add a bit of confidence. Defoe starting and maybe even modric?
