Tottenham Hotspur will play our North American partners San Jose Earthquakes at Spurs Lodge, Chigwell this afternoon. Spurs are expected to field a reasonably strong side.
San Jose recently beat West Ham United at Upton Park 2-0 and are in London as part of their pre-season training.
The Hammers fielded a strong side which featured 10 players with first team experience this season and even Gianfranco Zola got a few minutes under his belt. Former Spurs players Mido and Terry Dixon also featured.
The Earthquakes took the lead in the eighth minute via an own goal as Jordan Spence turned Bobby Convey's cross into his own net.
Ryan Johnson added the second goal five minutes into the second half when he finished well after being played in by Joey Gjertsen.
Frank Yallop's squad were back at Spurs Lodge for training on Tuesday.
San Jose Earthquakes v West Ham United:
Joe Cannon, Chris Leitch, Ike Opara, Jason Hernandez, Ramiro Corrales (Steven Beitashour 81), Joey Gjertsen, Brad Ring, Javier Robles, Bobby Convey, Ryan Johnson, Arturo Alvarez.

It's not hard to beat any Pest Ham side tho.
Clive Allen took plenty of positives despite a 1-0 loss against club partners San Jose Earthquakes in Wednesday's friendly at Spurs Lodge.
Younes Kaboul, Kyle Walker, Danny Rose and Jake Livermore were amongst our starting XI but the lads lost out to Bobby Burling's close-range header in the 50th minute.
Harry Kane and Dorien Dervite went close as we started at a quick tempo but Chris Wondolowski glanced just wide from Simon Elliott's free-kick as the MLS side gradually got into the game.
Our visitors from California scored the only goal five minutes into the second half when Quincy Amarikwa headed back Elliott's cross and Burling applied the final touch from inside the six-yard box.
Andros Townsend fired over from Dean Parrett's cross and Jon Obika did well to shrug off Ike Opara before forcing a save from Andrew Weber on his near post.
However, that was the last of our clear-cut chances and San Jose might have added a second only for Ben Alnwick to produce the save of the match to tip away Antonio Ribeiro's drive.
"It was a quality game for us," said Development Coach Clive. "San Jose are five weeks into their pre-season programme now and having seen them at West Ham on Monday, I knew it would be a very competitive match for us and that's how it turned out.
"It was just what a number of our players needed. Result-aside, no-one likes to lose, it was a very good game for us."
Spurs:
Alnwick
Walker, Dervite (Byrne, 84), Kaboul (Caulker, 60), Smith
Townsend, Parrett (Oyenuga, 81), Livermore, Rose
Mason; Kane (Obika, 46).
San Jose Earthquakes:
Weber; Morrow, Opara, Burling, Beitashour; Sanchez, Elliott, Ribeiro; Amerikwa, Wondolowski, Glen.

More than shocked that, that team lost to them to be honest . . .
Super Harry Redknapp,
He wears a magic hat,
He couldn't fly to Anfield
So turned into a cat!
When it came to beating San Jose, I guess Spurs never knew the way.
(Apologies to Dionne Warwick)

All the Spurs players out on loan have clauses in their contracts to enable them to train periodically at Chigwell and play the odd friendly match, as was the case yesterday.
John Bostock's loan to Brentford ended in mid-December 2009 and he has since trained with Tottenham's first team squad (although he has yet to feature in a competitive squad so far this season), as he was no longer eligible to play for the Academy team since turning 18 on 15th January this year.
San Jose Earthquakes' last match of their London pre-season tour resulted in a 2-0 win over fellow Major League Soccer team Colorado Rapids played at Spurs Lodge on Friday afternoon.
Ryan Johnson & Quincy Amarikwa scored for San Jose.
