No magic at Molineux
10 February 2010
Harry Redknapp felt we 'lacked a bit of magic' as we slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Wolves on Wednesday night.
We enjoyed plenty of possession throughout the Premier League encounter and piled on the pressure in the second half without really carving out a clear-cut chance.
Indeed, our best oppportunity saw Niko Kranjcar denied by Marcus Hahnemann when the scoreline was goalless in the first half. Soon after, David Jones finished well from 16 yards in the 27th minute and that goal proved decisive.
"It was a game we obviously felt we could win but we didn't play very well," reasoned Harry at Molineux. "We had a lot of the ball but didn't create an awful lot with all the pressure we had in the second half.
"Even in the first half, I felt we got into some good positions and if Niko had scored it would have been a different game. They made it difficult in the second half, got plenty of bodies behind the ball and defended their 1-0 lead well.
"They shielded their defence and it was only when we got the ball out to Gareth Bale and David Bentley at times that it looked like we might break them down. We lacked a bit of magic - someone to do something a bit special."
Harry made five changes to the starting line-up from Saturday's goalless draw against Villa including a debut for Eidur Gudjohnsen and a first start for Younes Kaboul since his return from Portsmouth. They came in for Peter Crouch and Vedran Corluka with Sebastien Bassong in for Ledley King, Kranjcar for Luka Modric and Jermaine Jenas replacing Wilson Palacios.
"We rested one or two and changed one or two to freshen it up but we didn't play well enough," added Harry. "But credit to Wolves as well, they worked their socks off."

Come On You SPURS
I have to say we were out done by a great goal, probley one of the best Wolves will score this season but we was not good enough. Last night once again proved there are squad players who don't deserve to wear the Tottenham shirt. Step forward Jenas who offered nothing once again other than giving the ball and going missing.
Harry rested 4 players on a night when we needed the points so there is the problem.
Lacked magic?! Probably because the guy that gives us our magic was sat on the bench until late in the game . . . .
Super Harry Redknapp,
He wears a magic hat,
He couldn't fly to Anfield
So turned into a cat!
Good Morning, looks like Harry has at least one
eye on The FA Cup...
Lacked Magic!!!!! Well maybe Arry should employ a Magician and make some of those woeful players dissapear permanently. They were Cr*p. problem solved.
We were utterly clueless.
jesus to not to be able to score vs wolves TWICE is just bullshit.
It cant be unlucky and it cant be one of those nights sentence as well ffs!!!!!
Why havent we learned from the last time. But this time we were actually terrible and deserved to lose .
HARRY FIX THIS!
If ya wanted a bit of magic two words Roman Pavlyuchenko, not Peter Crouch!!!
