Wolves manager Mick McCarthy may ring the changes following his side's defeat to local rivals Birmingham. New signing Adiene Guedioura is pushing for a first start after three consecutive appearances as substitute.
Tottenham's Ledley King will sit this match out leaving Sebastien Bassong and new signing Younes Kaboul to fight it out to play alongside Michael Dawson.
Eidur Gudjohnsen is expected to play a part after being on the bench against Villa, but Aaron Lennon remains out.
Wolves

Injured: Edwards, Keogh & Kightly (all ankle), Murray (knee)
Tottenham

Injured: Assou-Ekotto (hip), Cudicini (broken wrists), Lennon, Pavlyuchenko & Woodgate (all groin)
MATCH PREVIEW
Although fighting on different fronts at opposing ends of the table, the frustration suffered by both clubs at the weekend was palpable.
Wolves were left crushed by Birmingham's golden oldie Kevin Phillips, as the 36-year-old veteran rolled back the years to deny Mick McCarthy's men a vital victory.
I have not been in our dressing room before and seen the lads as disappointed as that after a game... You feel hard done by and it is hard, but we've got a game on Wednesday and that is the motivation we need
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy
The defeat at St Andrew's saw the Molineux outfit remain rooted in the relegation zone, but McCarthy came out fighting, lauding his team for their spirit and determination and looking to the Tottenham match as a chance to get back on track.
And if he needs inspiration to lift his players, McCarthy can call on the memories of their shock victory over Harry Redknapp's men at White Hart Lane in December.
Tottenham's failure to break down Aston Villa made it just four wins from 13 matches this season against sides currently in the top 10 and they are currently doing nothing to rid themselves of the flat-track bully reputation that is beginning to dog them this season.
Their much-vaunted strikeforce have been misfiring in recent weeks and it is surely no coincidence that in the five league matches Spurs have been shorn of flying winger Aaron Lennon, they have managed a solitary win and scored just three times.
MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head
• The sides have clashed on 88 occasions in the league: Wolves have 26 wins, Tottenham 44 and there have been 18 draws.
• They famously met in the 1972 Uefa Cup final, which Tottenham won 3-2 on aggregate. Spurs won the first leg 2-1 at Molineux before a 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane gave Bill Nicholson's side their second European trophy.
• Tottenham won both clashes the last time that Wolves were in the Premier League (5-2 at White Hart Lane and 2-0 at Molineux).

dyole is always dangerous up front. I think he is the only one we need to watch out for.
But I think this will be the same as with beckford. First time we had problems with him and then second time dawson got used to him and it was hardly a problem in leeds.
I think this time it will be the same and we will win this match.

Think this will be a well officiated game as well. Mark Clattenburg is actually semi-decent....knock on wood.

need a solid 2 or 3 goal win tommorrow night which probably won't happen
every chance we get we need to take otherwise they'll sneak a goal and typical spurs will not take their chances despite having about 20
team: gomes, corluka, bassong, dawson (c), bale, bentley, huddlestone, palacios, modric, gudjohnsen, defoe
subs: alnwick, k walker, kaboul, jenas, kranjcar, rose, crouch
prediction: 0-2 spurs, bentley and gudjohnsen
