Blues' run 'amazing' - Harry
29 January 2010
Harry Redknapp is under no illusions as to the task ahead at Birmingham City on Saturday.
We travel to St Andrews to face a City side that have just seen a 15-match unbeaten run in all competitions ended by Chelsea on Wednesday night.
That run stretched back to a defeat at Arsenal on October 17 and remains eight games at home with Bolton the last team to win at St Andrews back on September 26.
We go into the weekend fourth in the Barclays Premier League with the Blues in eighth.
"You have to scrap to pick up results in this league and that's especially the case at Birmingham," said Harry. "It's never an easy place to go.
"They are a tough team to beat and it's quite an intimidating place to go but we need to go there and play well and if we do that, we've got a big chance.
"They've been on an amazing run. I saw Alex McLeish earlier in the season when we played them at home and I'm sure relegation was his biggest fear then, staying in the division was all he was thinking about.
"They came up last season and if he could keep them up it would be a good achievement but they've gone on from there, kept winning games and suddenly they are looking at a European place. That's how well they've done, they've been fantastic."
