New to the forum but i'm about as passionate of a spurs fan as you can get over here in the states.

      Why?

      Spurs are fun to watch.

Having played college soccer and coaching at the high school level I have been a soccer fan for years and the only division worth watching in my opinion is the EPL.

And the only team worth cheering on week after week is the Tottenham Hotspurs.

Even when we were finishing in the middle or lower down the pack for the better part of this century I still loved to watch the Spurs over any other club.

This leaves me the odd man out with my teammates and coworkers all of which are all Man U, Chelsea fans with the one lone Liverpool supporter thrown in.

Even as this season gets off to a rocky start what other team would be able to fight from 4-1 down? Would I rather see the Spurs beat Villa 1-nil or see that dramatic comeback? I would take the comeback and a single point any day over the less dramatic win.

West Ham last year was the greatest game I have ever see and proved to me why year after year I love them Hotspurs!

Just some observation from the states to end this little introduction.

My good friend Mary is a life long Chelsea fan and since Jose Mourinho left the club has obviously taken a step back. Her reaction: "Good, I hate watching Chelsea win 1-0. It is boring, now I will start watching all the games again because I don't know if Chelsea will win or not. When we win all the time and most game are a forgone conclusion what is the point. Chelsea being in the middle of the pack this year gives me something to cheer for and will make the wins all the more dramatic."

Second point, I dated a girl Alexa from Brazil who loves soccer. We use to watch all the Tottenham games together if they were airing here in the states. Her reaction to the Spurs was that they reminded her the most of Brazilian soccer. Tight passing in the middle, wide open free flowing exciting games. Spurs, she said are the best of both the Brazilian soccer and the English soccer world.

So I just thought I would say hey!

It will be nice to get a reaction to what is going on with the Spurs outside what I see on Sky Sports here in the US.

Hi mate, welcome to the forum. Think that sets a record as the longest introduction!! :5:

Not that I'm complaining, it's good to hear your views on things. I agree about the West Ham game last year. In fact I was watching that with a friend who didn't really support a football team and I think that might have been the turning point to him becoming a Spurs fan!
