Starts tomorrow. Who is your money on? For all the Major's this year I have had McIlroy but I am not sure I will bother my arse at 11/1. I am becoming a huge fan of Jason Day and reckon he is due a Major already. 2nd in the first two Majors of the year, it's gonna happen soon, maybe this week. Out of the American's I can't decide between Rickie Fowler and Dustin Johnson. Johnson is a massive hitter but Fowler is quite a bigger hitter too. He has one of the best putting stats of the last few months too. I am leaning towards him, but I keep getting a nagging feeling Johnson will be up there. What do you lot think?
Stevie Williams...I mean Adam Scott.
Im probably in minority, but id live tiger to get a win just to shut people up.
But, ill go with...... Rickie fowler I think.
Maybe it's Luke Donald's time.
Naw, Scott won't win it. I can't remember the last time someone won the week before a Major and then went on to win the Major. It's very rare anyway. Personally I would also love to see Tiger win, he is still a legend. I just don't think he has the durability anymore to play well over each of the four days. Donald and Westwood are fooking frustrating bastards, they are always in around but never get off to a start that is needed to win the tournament. Donald especially, he seems to be able to win everything but a Major. Westwood seems to be the highest ranked runner-up ever. Pundits seem to think he is the best ever though, the Sky sports ones anyway. I tell you this though, the peak of a golfer seems to have dropped by about 10 years. At Bridgestone, four of the top 6 were 23 and under.
Geoff Ogilvy is my pick. Has all the tools to win a major again. Long, straight, solid short game, GREAT putter. I f he can put it together for four days, he should be up there at the end.
Anyone watching this. Fooking great stuff. Edge of your seat. Keegan Bradley is going to be a huge player. Nerves steel and as cool as they come. Come on Keegan!
Great tournament, golf's a slow burn as far as thrills and spills go, but watching two kids duke it out for a trophy both know will change their lives is compelling stuff. Bradley was a deserving champion.
