pretty tough this year. you really have to try and pick out some gems because everyone decent is expensive. makes it more fun though.. Gareth bale is pretty cheap though considering what he could achieve this season.

I chose some 'maybes' from sunderland QPR etc... players that I hope will prove to me that they were worth the money

my advice will be to not choose too many big names, it costs a lot of money and you end up having really crap players in the starting 11 that don't really play much, it's better to choose players you think will play regularly, e.g. O'shea for Sunderland, cheap player to buy and will play most games (you would have thought)

also go for some new teams like QPR, Norwich or Swansea, we all know how many goals Blackpool scored last season so they are always cheap and good chance of earning a few points

I joined Spurs XI ... this is my second year doing this, it is very fun and actually shows you a different way of watching football when you want individual players to do something in a match from another team besides spurs hope you enjoy

me and my mates all do it cause it makes match of the day fun when your having a beer as its easy to see who gets you points unlike some of the other fantasy games that are well complicated..

jay bothroyd is my dodgy mayb awesome player for the start.. get in there big son!!

I'm in. Got Daws and Rafa in my team. Also had to hold my nose as I picked Wilshere. Dude's a prick, but he's going to have a big season, esp. if Fabregas or Nasri leave. Also took Samba, so hopefully on opening day I have three Spurs players.

The real conundrum this creates for me is how much will I allow myself to care about this league (never done fantasy football before). Because if I care too much, I may force myself into the position of rooting for Wilshere. And if that happens, I may just have to stab myself in the eye with a bottle of Guinness.

pick starters
sneaky players like adam last year
if you can get players out of position great like coleman + elmohamady last year were defenders but played on the wings
dont use holding mids unless they get forward alot.
