William Gallas played 70 minutes as our Spurs XI beat QPR 3-1 in a training ground friendly on Tuesday.

Coach Tim Sherwood was delighted with the defender's performance alongside fellow senior professionals Jermaine Jenas and David Bentley, who both completed 90 minutes as boss Harry Redknapp looked on at Spurs Lodge.

"It was William's first game for a while and it was excellent for the younger boys to play alongside him," said Tim.

"He showed how he squeezes play up the pitch, how he uses his body and he manages the game superbly.

"Jermain Jenas was outstanding, picking the ball up, running at QPR, getting into their box and causing them problems.

"The energy was fantastic centrally from JJ and Jake Livermore, who has played three or four games for us like that now."

QPR took the lead with a counter-attack in the 15th minute but we were soon level as Livermore and Harry Kane opened it up for Kudus Oyenuga to fire home via a deflection.

Kane went close twice, Jenas shot inches wide and Gallas showed his value at set-pieces by twice getting onto David Bentley corners, both efforts just off target.

Into the second half and Kane's free-kick grazed the side-netting before his header cannoned off Oyenuga and struck the post.

Bentley tested the reflexes of former Spurs goalkeeper Radek Cerny from 20 yards but Cerny was then involved in a defensive mix-up that gifted us the lead, Kane left with a 10-yard dash to tap the ball home before it crossed the line and claim the goal.

Oyenuga was denied one-on-one before Bentley unselfishly squared to substitute Massimo Luongo to tap in the third.

"It was great to see Harry on the scoresheet again having missed a couple of chances earlier in the game," added Tim. "You just know he's going to score a goal. He's a real threat.

"It was ideal for us. As I said, it's great for the younger lads to play with the experienced players, but the experienced players have also got what they needed out of the game."

I had a video on my computer that I converted into an mp4 so I could put it on an itouch the video was working fine I tested it before it was being converted and once it was finished the sound and picture aren't matched up what could of been the problem?

Scientists who examined the remains of Napoleon Bonaparte admit that they are "deeply surprised" by the discovery of a microchip embedded in the skull of an inch long.

Seen a lot of members say in other threads that they are all off Uni or returning this September. Thought it would be cool to see where we are all heading round the country. Who knows, we might get some at the same Uni and be able to visit the SU on them Champions League nights for a drink and a Spurs match!

Anyways, I'm going to be returning to the University of Plymouth for my final year reading Business Administration. Don't think there are any Plymmies on here though.

A CRUEL yob leads away a pensioner's beloved pet dog - before hurling it to its death off a 40ft viaduct.

Gary Marshman, 27, was caught on CCTV snatching 12-year-old Jess from outside a supermarket.

The border collie's body was found three days later in a river with injuries that pointed to a fall from a significant height.
Jess's owner Ron Bisby, 78, and his wife Enid, 71, had been left traumatised by the crime, magistrates in Dewsbury, West Yorks, were told.

Jailed ... Marshman

Marshman was found guilty of theft after a trial earlier this year but had given no reason as to why he took the Bisbys' beloved pet, who was described as the couple's chief interest in life.
Marshman, who has a string of previous convictions including possession of a firearm and burglary, was filmed by security cameras going in and out of the Tesco store in Cleckheaton, West Yorks, while Jess, who had an arthritic leg, was tied outside.

CCTV then tracked Marshman going through the car park with Jess on a lead. Later a single white hair on his clothes was shown to be the dog's.
Marshman, of Bradford, West Yorks, was jailed for 26 weeks.
Bench chairman Vince Reynolds told him: "The offence is so serious that only a custodial sentence is justified. This offence has been taken against vulnerable victims."
Mr Reynolds said he was also taking into account the psychological impact and stress the Bisbys suffered.
