thank you. however, I'm not so positive before the toss-up as our team looks rather old and a bit predictable, and Advocaat is a huge conservator. We need much fresh blood and variants. At least we have 9 months to change anything or I can't see us passing the group stage.

What to say about Ireland: although your football wasn't so impressive, substantial and variable, you got a fighting character, several high-class players (McGeady, Duff, Given, Keane) and remembering that disgusting known match against France, you deserve to gain some luck and enter the play-off round. Now you should try to do your best. And I hope we'll meet in one year somewhere in Ukraine or Poland (or sooner, even better...)

ok this is as official as can get. at moment IRELAND arent seeded as turkey higher in rankings it will be done on basis of standings announced tomorrow plus unlike prv yrs being seeded doesnt guarantee a home draw 2nd leg for first time.

All isnt lost for ireland as good results since last rankings

Croatia, Portugal, Ireland and Czech Republic are seeded. They will all play their second legs at home.

They will be drawn against one of Turkey, Bosnia, Estonia and Montenegro.

How nice that would be, but right now.. Bosnia and Hercegovina seems like the strongest team there now and who ever gets them is gonna have a tuff task.. forget portugal and others.
