Im going out with the thomas cook day trip on my own, sister cant afford it! so im meeting her ex bf there instead hehe. Im sure he will find a decent place for a beverage. But he might turn up mid afternoon! As long as the beers are flowing at any of these places and the party is in full swing lets have it!

Plaza Mayor is a bit different to Duomo. Loads of little bars and restaurants in the back streets. We're staying about five minutes away so will no doubt be there or thereabouts from early afternoon.

The James Joyce is about twenty minutes walk from Plaza Mayor. I think the pub itself is quite near the big park in Madrid. Can't remember the name!

Madrid is a fantastic city. There'll be loads of places to go drinking and eating, and with the number of Spurs fans travelling out, I don't think there'll be much of a problem stumbling upon a load of fellow supporters!

Plaza mayor looks like the ideal spot, from google earth anyway, providing the weather is sunny that is unlike AC Milan. Google reckon that it will take around 20 mins to get to the stadium using public transport. The james joyce bar is closer to the stadium and is at the top end (north) of the massive park, only question about this is how big is the pub/bar?? bare in mind were talking thousands of spurs out there. Anyway keep me updated as to where the meeting point is most likely to be, hope to see you there. COYS

I think the idea of the Irish bar is because they have English sports channels. I doubt if there are any Irish there as I'm sure it's an irish bar for tourist reasons. Irish, welsh, aussie! As long it's full of singing spurs fans, I couldn't care less!
