so finishing as group leaders has surely earned us a few bob, but how much exactly ?
and how much more can we earn for each knockout stage we progress.

just wondering if we have earned enough to pay for that shiney new striker we all want.

UEFA awards €2.1 million to each team in the play-offs round. For reaching the Group Stage, UEFA awards €3.8 million plus €0.55 million for each match in the Group Stage. A win in the campaign is awarded €0.8 million and a draw is awarded €0.4 million.

In addition, UEFA pay teams reaching the first knockout round €3.0 million, each quarter finalist €3.3 million, €4 million for each semi-finalist, €5.2 million for the runners-up and €9 million for the winners.

    from uefa.com too

Each of the 32 clubs that featured in last season's group stage received a participation bonus of €3.8m plus a match bonus of €550,000 per group game played. On top of that, clubs benefited from performance bonuses of €800,000 for every win and €400,000 for every draw in the group stage.

The 16 teams that reached the first knockout round all collected €3m, the eight quarter-finalists €3.3m apiece, and the four semi-finalists €4m each. Winners FC Internazionale Milano pocketed €9m and the runners-up FC Bayern München €5.2m. It follows, then, that any side winning all six group-stage matches would have been entitled to €11.9m, a figure that would have risen immediately to €14.9m because that club would also have qualified for the last 16.

Last term a fixed amount of €413.1m was destined for teams in the UEFA Champions League from the group stage onwards and in the UEFA Super Cup. FC Barcelona, as winners of the 2009 UEFA Super Cup, picked up €2.5m and runners-up FC Shakhtar Donetsk €2m.

Some €55m was allocated exclusively to the UEFA Champions League play-off round, meaning each of the 20 sides participating in the play-offs earned a fixed amount of €2.1m. As in the 2006-09 cycle, €10.3m was also reserved for solidarity payments to clubs eliminated in the qualifying phase of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

Alright I'm going to calculate this out

2.1 million euros for the play offs
    .8 x 3 for winning against Milan, Twente, Bremen= 2.4 million
    .4 x 2 for drawing against Twente, Bremen= .8 million
3.0 million for getting to the knock out round

    then 550,000 for playing 6 group games= 3.3 million

    So 2.1, 2.4, .8, 3.0, 3.3

    equals

    11.6 million so far.....rough estimate.....almost 10 million quid

And that's without the estimated £15m TV revenue we get.

I heard somewhere that it just works out a touch under £25m so far.

I worked out that if you win all 6 games you get about 30 million euros including TV . So 25m is about right .

I wonder how many CL shirts we sold ?
