OK, I know that he doesn't play in the Croatian league any more, but I didn't know where else to put this post. :dontknow:
I just wanted to say that I'm really gutted for Niko, after hearing that he will be out for three months, following an operation to repair ankle ligaments. Every time I've ever seen him interviewed, he seems like a really nice guy and, when he's on form, looks like a very skilful player. It's a pity that he's with the wrong Premiership team - he belongs in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt! There's a touch of David Ginola about him!
Who will be his replacement in the Croatian national team for the upcoming game against England? :questionmark:
He`s an excellent player. But we have great substitutes for him. Rakitic is in great form and he is fantastic prospect. If Eduardo was fit, I`m not even sure Kranjcar would play in the first 11. Olic has to play because he exhausts defenders and Eduardo is the one to score goals. In that scenario Kranjcar would be fighting for a place with Rakitic and ATM Rakitic is in better form. N.Kovac also has to play because we need DM and a captain. And Srna is unreplaceable. So in the end, I guess Petric or Klasnic will be playing instead of Kranjcar, because Eduardo is not fit. Yet.
What a diference one year makes. Niko missed a couple of sure shots against Germany and right away was no good. Today Rakitic will net you a bit more than bag of lemons, compared what Niko can net.
Just to show you the double standard in our way of thinking, Rakitic went from Swiss U21 to CRO 1st team in less than 6 months, all because we were scared we'd loose him to Switzerland. Today we have Andrej Kramaric, who when it is all set and done will chase Davor Suker's scoring records if not Romario da Silva in Guiness book of records, but he doesn't play. Not even an afterthought. He can not stay on the field even for lowely Dinamo who is loaded with minor league foreigners, never mind to be invited to national A team. Sarbini? Rukavina? Jajalo? But we broke our behinds to get Argentinian Dario Cvitanich from Ajax![]()

Kev, Roscono, what are you two old gits mithering on about?
I have never denied that I fancy the pants off the boy Kranjcar. The point I wanted to make was that I recognised, a long time before anyone else did, that he should be a Tottenham player.
That's not obsession - that's INSIGHT!!!![]()
