@yid4eva or anyone who knows a bit about them, well as some of you may know I have been having constant pc problems. It seems some of them have been sorted out but anyways here is what happened. On Thursday my screen was full of colorful green dots obviously caused by my graphics card 'it's an nvidia geforce 9800 gtx+" , so I took it out and uninstalled the drivers for it among other things.
My pc seems to be in an "alright" state but I don't trust putting the card back in, could it be that it is ****ed? Or is this just a case of vista acting up and affecting the card's performance?

Dude you have been a life saver lol, I cleaned up the connectors and just decided to completely took out the card. Windows vista is now acting pretty decent, could it be that the OS just can't handle it anymore? My computer has had problems logging in all this month I have had to forcefully shut it down so many times and sometimes it will just refuse to shut down properly. So far this is the best it's been in a while. My brother thinks it's a hardware problem in general with the computer but I don't think so especially after taking out the graphic card. I have to keep pleading my case that an upgrade to windows 7 is what we need, would you agree?

@Javi is it a desktop or a laptop?
if it was up to me, i would back up the data that you want to keep off the system hard drive, on to an external hard drive. then format the system hard drive and install a fresh copy of windows and the system drivers.
although i agree, tiz a right pain in the arse >.<
have you ever done anything like that before @Javi ?
so it's the vista updates that are causing the problems?
