Sensible time how old is it? If you plug it into your laptop and run the Tom Tom software that should sort it mate. Unless the battery is fried

If the battery is fried it should still run off the mains?

Yes ... but you need a fookin long cable for most journeys!
If you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs and blaming it on you ... you probably haven't a clue what's going on!

Well that's only if the battery doesn't run off the mains.
If it does then it won't work at all because the charge can't power a fried battery.

Its a common problem with the new tom tom... I hope u have a back up cos it needs a reset

      1. Plug in the mains.
      2. Get a pin (or something really thin) and press the reset button (should be located under your SD card slot)
      3. Keep pressing the reset button and also press the power button until it comes on.
