Don't know if any of you will be able to help.
For some reason in the last couple of days Sky Sports | Sport News won't load for me, and there are one or two other sites that haven't done either. Always have done before, with no problem, and the majority of other sites all work for me fine. Any clues as to why it won't?
Bare in mind that I speak computer speak aswell as I speak German, and I can't speak German . . . .

Contrast it may just be the sites themselves having issues if you are able to load other sites perfectly then without a doubt it's the sites having problems at the moment but if that's not the case indeed if you are having problems loading different websites you might want to contact your internet provider.
If you use a wireless router or have a wireless connection make sure is password secured and all that so nobody uses your connection. Another thing worth looking into is the proxy settings of your web browser.
What browser are you using mate ? Does it work using another browser ? Could have a nasty bit of spyware on your machine causing javasript to freeze, i had something like that the other day it was a right pain in the arse.
Nah, its not that. Sky Sports has been working fine for everyone else in the world!
And all my wireless shizzle is all protected and what not.

the sites have been working ok for me so its problem your end m8
1. Download this : Download CCleaner 2.35.1219 - FileHippo.com
Install it and run it , clean the default values , so literally open it and click clean with out changing any of the boxes
2. Download this : The home of Spybot-S&D!
Spybot , close all browsers and open programs , open spybot , update it , immunize your system and then do a full system scan , remove everything it picks up .
3. Make sure your anti virus is fully up to date and run a full scan ( after spybot has finished )
Prob take a couple of hours.
Ah well, got nothing to get up for!
Cheers Riv, I'll give it a go.

Still can't get on the sites after following them instructions. Weird.
Did find one piece of spyware that it got rid of, and then a tracking cookie. Don't have a clue what any of that means though!
Frustrating.

I'm on the site at the moment - no loading problems. My internet browser has disabled the ads on the site. I can tell because they're all "red" out - and this site is heavy on the ads. I can't think of any reason why your PC will not allow you to load the site. Do you have the latest version of Java installed?
It sounds like that they have upgraded the site recently - have you tried lowering your security settings? (Tools > Internet Options > Secutity tab)?
By the way - when you visit a site, as part of the loading process - a spyware was downloaded. It basically tracks your internet movements or what you type on your keyboard. Same with tracking cookies...
At home.
I just tried downloading the latest Java thingy, and it gets to the end and stops for 10mins then just says it can't be downloaded.
