HELP !!!!

im a caveman when it comes to computers and need a little help please. im on vista and internet explorer and its running very slow. i have macaffe antivirus and it says alls well but i know it aint. loading a web page can be very slow at times i think iv got bugs that the antivirus isnt picking up. anyone know any free programs which will find and kill the little buggers ??? thanks for looking and any help will be very much appreciated

yid4eva is the best forum member who can give advice but his internet access is limited because of a loft conversion.I would suggest doing a search on www.cnet.download.com for a spyware programme. Download the ones with the highest download number.Once you've cleaned your machine, you may want to look at installing a fire wall or something.If you're ISP offers it, take up the option for extra security...Good luck

tried that ire and it said everything ok also tried spybot and said same. tried a pay one and it said i got 164 bugs but i think its a con to get me to buy it

I do not know much about computers, however ive had a MAC for about 3 years now and havent had 1 problem with it at all. There is no antivirus software needed for MACs, and they've gone down in price over the years. I'd highly suggest buying one.

yeah iv got a mac for when playing poker, i never use it for anything else, but this is just a 500 quid pc for the family. i think i might invest in another mac for everyday use

It means your download speed is 2.45 mega bytes per second. The issue is not your connection but your PC. Spybot is a good one but has identified none? I would presume then that windows is downloading updates? are you still experiencing problems?
